1st TD – Cleveland went down the field with ease
FG after a Stafford pick on Detroit’s first play
2nd TD – 84-yard punt return
And another FG

stupid CBS

I hate their preseason coverage, and I really would’ve liked to hear what Schwartz had to say there, but they couldn’t get their sh!t together.

Well guys... a reality check, I guess?

Not sure I want to break this game down any further. Sheesh.

Hey Drew

How’s your boy now?? ;o)

by KDawg on Aug 22, 2009 9:08 PM EDT up reply actions

Cute

Lookin’ like a true freshman tonight. No long term worries, but it wasn’t a good showing… either side of the ball.

by DrewsLions on Aug 22, 2009 9:09 PM EDT up reply actions

But in reality

The bad games are the best games to breakdown. No pressure though :D

Silver lining

No receivers and we played a competitive second quarter. The D stopped the bleeding….last year they couldn’t even do that.

by NYCLionsfan on Aug 22, 2009 9:08 PM EDT reply actions

I think someone had a good point about the O-Line doing alright

and felton looks solid.

Also Avril’s name came up a lot and we saw a little of delmas…

Not sure thats enough to make up for the overall horrible play and the awfulness of Stan Kwan

by MatthewDC on Aug 22, 2009 9:08 PM EDT reply actions

The OL seems to have made some adjustments....

1st QTR they were confused, right along with Stafford.

Alright

Tigers off to a solid start. Runners on the corners.

This is off-topic but

did any of you guys with Madden 10 see that Aaron Brown only has 83 for speed? Hopefully they fix that in an update.

by WestsideLionsFan on Aug 22, 2009 9:12 PM EDT reply actions

Fun Fact:

Cleveland had 5 passes of 20+ yards in the first half.

lets see if Schwartz can fire these guys up at halftime

One thing Marinelli, Mariucci and Morningweg couldn’t do. Fontes could though!!! LOL

Our play action has looked really convincing as of late

Has anybody heard anything about Chris McAlister?

Just curious about why he hasn’t been signed yet. He is 32 but Lord knows we could use him if we could afford him.

by WestsideLionsFan on Aug 22, 2009 9:27 PM EDT reply actions

Curiously, I went after him on Madden

and I had to pay him about double what he wanted (which was a lot) to get him to sign with the Lions. Maybe that’s a telling sign.

by WestsideLionsFan on Aug 22, 2009 9:28 PM EDT up reply actions

I think McCalister would be a good signing.....

Henry could move to safety opposite of Delmas (who I am still unsure of) and Buchanon and McCalister could be our corners.

Still don't you wanna se how they can do when they're on 1st down

with that kinda play. Not 3rd and 9. You would think you wanna see how they respond with a 10 yard pass in that situation

After a run for no gain and two incompletions, Browns punt

Williams dropped the punt and didn’t get far on the return. Penalty on Cleveland forces them redo it, though.
