The defense really did improve!

They gave up a quick 20-0 lead instead of a quick 21-0 lead! Seriously though, their strengths counteract their weaknesses, instead of the whole defense sucking. The DB's are supposed to be weak. The LB's can help in pass coverage, and QB pressure to force bad throws. The D-Line can pass rush good with Dewayne White and Cliff Avril at D-End, and we've got quicker D-Tackles left from the Tampa 2(Fluellen). And the LB's can help with the pass rush. The D-Line is supposed to be inconsistant against the run, the LB's can come up and stop the run. And Delmas can too. Plus, Henry had some pretty good tackles against the Browns. And as Sammie Hill and Landon Cohen practice and play more, they'll get closer and closer to starting. So, the defense will be much improved, and will continue to improve throughout the season. Then Stafford will come in and tear up opposing defenses while our defense tears up opposing offenses.

I saw

the pulling guards light us up on a bunch of runs. Did love that I saw Delmas flying all over the field, and that lick he layed down wazzzz da SHIT! Also didn’t see too many blitz’s last night, but when we did we got big fat azz pressure.I thought Foote and Simms played pretty damn good last night at times, and invisible on others, can’t say I remember Peterson doing anything yet in either game. Our secondary is going to be pretty good I think this year, they got beat a few times but they also had a couple good coverages also. Untimely penalties seem to be poppin up a little too much, but it’s pre-season and I think time will get ri of a few of those. 2 games in a row now Averi jumping he gun for bad stupid penalties.Did notice that Schiegert looked good again late in the game, he really has a nose for the ball, might not of made every tackle but has sure been in alot of shots of the plays on TV.

It is defanitly the big plays

They could stop those if they could make a tackle. You can’t tackle with your hands tucked in your chest. That makes for a great hit but the ball carrier may very well bounce and keep going. I have seen this about 6 or 8 times in the first half alone. Get the arms out and wrap up the guy or at least take a swip at the ball for a fumble. seams to wrk for the opposing team periodically.
