Report on Cory Redding from Seahawk Training Camp
From the following report on Pro Football Weekly, it appears that Seattle has moved Redding to End and he is doing well. But if I remember correctly, Cory always looked great in practice according to the previous Lions regime. I don't believe in looking back, and don't wish him poorly, and am very happy with Peterson at OLB, but why did they have to include the shot at the end of the article?

It's up to the coaches and mgmt
To get the best out of their athletes. Detroit hasn’t had either in a long time. Redding has skills, but like a lot of players last year, was just going through the motions. That has to end now!
On another note, it is ironic that the Seahawks are having a tough time signing Curry, after all his talk about wanting to play for the Lions, no matter what the pay was. Seems the money does matter after all to him. Makes it a little bit easier to swallow that we dont have him. But with Foote and Peterson onboard, I’m very happy. Weird how things work out sometimes huh?

Good luck to him
I wish Redding luck, I never didn’t like him, but I’m happy that we have Peterson.
2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).

“He also couldn’t be happier to get away from Detroit." is the shot at the end. Truthfully, can you blame him? Good thing fur us is, this isn’t the same old lions. I do wish Cory the best of luck in Seattle. Hope he makes the Pro Bowl.

Not really Scotty, but it would have been nice if he was a little more gracious.
I guess I am assuming he actually said something to that effect. Detroit did draft him and give him an opportunity to play, and rewarded him very well with a new contract. A little gratitude would have gone a long way.
But, I agree with you, I wish him all the best. He played hard for the Lions.

“rewarded him very well with a new contract”
They more than rewarded him, they drastically overpaid him, IMO. That however, seems to be the teams M.O. for retaining mediocre to decent talent, and sorrowfully, is likely the only avenue they have for retaining some of these guys. I believe his lone “season in the sun” with the Lions was the result of his being the beneficiary of teams double-teaming Shaun Rogers.
Thank you.
