I am excited about Felton. I was when we drafted him.
He is a bruiser man. I won’t be suprised if he gets 5-10 carries a game. Well, I would be suppriese, but I am hoping for it!

Stafford.....
….Will end up starting week 1 simply becasue he will outplay Cullpepper…..It also doesnt hurt that by dumping dante beofre the season starts would stil save detroit 3 mil in cap space for this season…..With all the injuries that would be some niuce cash to get a couple vet lineman that may get cut.
some things i noticed at practice
-Hill, Cohen, and Fluellen didn’t look too bad. I am less worried about the defensive line after some of the penetration i saw.
-Grady Jackson took up a lot of space.
-Avril played with the first team some.
-It seemed like the 1st team defense was getting a lot of pressure on the QB during the scrimmages. A few times the defensive rushers just stopped for a few seconds to give an unaware Daunte enough time to throw the ball.
Calvin Johnson lost sight of one overthrown ball completely.
-I thought Stafford lofted a really nice pass to a receiver on a crossing route. The pass was incomplete but a fan said to me the receiver lost a step looking back and could have caught it if he looked later. Think of that what you will.
-Kevin Smith broke to the outside for a good gain. I am not sure if that was the result of not being a full contact scrimmage or how other NFL backs broke to the outside last season.
I am happy that the fans are behind Stafford
I was a little worried after the draft, but I suppose that was expected. It was great to see 15,000 fans at the Ford Field practice. That’s a lot of people, in the rugby league, we only just exceed that for a normal regular season game.
2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).
