Bing was a all-world SS at USC. He still weighs only 220 lbs according to NFL.com. I have to ask, why is he not being worked at safety for the Lions? We are short at the postion and heavy at LB. Does anyone have the inside story on that? I remember him being a heavy hitter mostly in college, but his coverage skills can't be horrible. Can they? I don't know....Just a thought

The only thing I can think of is that the coaching staff doesn't think he is fast enough
2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).
he was awesome at usc......
…..not sure why they dont think he can play saftey in a pinch like situation.

yea. im glad someone else remembers.
he was an all-american i think. for sure all Pac-10…but we know how the PAC 10 is…might as well be the WAC if you take out USC HAHA
