Monte Clark has died
Clark was the first Lions coach I was aware of, and he had a couple of decent teams towards the end of his tenure, a missed Eddie Murray FG away from breaking the then 26 year streak of playoffs failures in 1983. Things fell apart in 1984, especially after Billy Sims suffered his career ending injury, and Clark took the fall, paving the way for the Darryl Rodgers nightmare.
