Friday Notes: Former Lions Coach Monte Clark, Former Player Bob Kowalkowski Pass Away
- Former Lions coach Monte Clark passed away earlier this week at the age of 72.
- Former Lions offensive lineman Bob Kowalkowski died last night at the age of 65.
- The Lions are planning on blitzing much more this week compared to the Saints game.
- Apparently the most popular jersey in the state of Michigan is Jay Cutler's. I was shocked at that, but then I saw that Brett Favre's jersey is the most popular in the state of Wisconsin. There are many weird combinations of popular jerseys and states out there.
- As Jason Hanson's knee continues to heal, he is hoping to improve his hang time on kickoffs.
- Brad Childress thinks Matthew Stafford is a "young Brett Favre."
- When asked about what advice he has for Stafford, Favre said to "keep slingin' it."
- This week's Lions Congregation has been posted.
- Check out SBNation.com for all of the latest fantasy reports for this week's games. You can find my write-up on the Lions here.

I liked the write ups
I left a comment at the end of the congregation article. I predict the Lions to win on a late FG by Hanson, 27-24 (Yes, they will score 27 again this week…..this time all on offense).

I seen a map on the Daily Norseman
Favre jerseys are apparantly the top selling jerseys in many states. It’s sorta sad.
2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).

well that is because it is a new jersey..
I mean Brady fans aren’t gonna go out a buy a new jersey every year.

Why do they bother
to say things like “Lions plan to blitz more on Sunday”. Right up there with things like “Lions plan to run to the left more” and “Lions plan to fake punt in 3rd quarter” and “Lions web page admin password is….”
Seriously, we’re never going to know anything about a game plan until they actually go out there and do it.

Getting all of my negative energy out
before Sunday so I can be a positive karmic force for the Lions on Sunday. I hate 4pm on Sunday more than anything because I have to wait a whole week to see them play again. What is this hold they have over me?

Without the rookie mistakes.....we might have scored 31 on your D
And it was never out of the realm of possibility that we would or could score 27…..the bottom line is, we came out flat in the second half, the Vikings came out pumped up, and Matt Stafford did not close the deal.
