Running game hurt in first win.

The pain was felt after K.Smith went down with a shoulder injury.  But the pain wasn't in the shoulders, it was in the eyes.   Watching Morris and Brown trying to move the ball in the 4th quarter was pathetic... and almost cost the Lions the game.  Even Felton had a hard time.   This team is too fragile to leave time on the clock for the opponent to comeback and score, time outs or not. Hopefully for the Lions, Kevin's shoulder injury isn't serious or Linehan will have his hands full trying to scheme an offense with a hand full of 'change of pace' backs.

On the positive side, the screen plays have been executed far better than past years' and both Morris and Brown have good hands and the ability to bruise(morris) or speed(brown) past defenders.  To add.... Felton can be a good short yardage back.. but with all big backs, he needs time to 'warm up' and should get around 10 carries to be effective.  Here's to Linehan's creativity!

Get well, K. Smith... this team needs you... my fingers are crossed.
