#34 kyle wilson: the lions continue to solidify the secondary. wilson is a playmaker and will start day one.

#66 jahvid best: every year players with high round projections fall father than expected. this year its jahvid best because of his injury concerns....he falls into the leo's laps here and they gladly snap him up.


lions trade up with miami, getting #74 for #98. the selection is mardy gilyard. after wowing people at the senior bowl, gilyard had an average combine which dropped his stock a bit....the lions see his big play potential and his potential ability to take pressure off megatron and with the bears at #75 looking for another playmaker to go with knox, the lions trade up to grab him.


lions trade up again, exchanging #130 for the cardinals' #122 the selection is mitch petrus. lions get some much needed o-line help..


#155 amari spievey: another player that fell farther than expected. the lions, capping off their reconstruction of the secondary, pick up another young playmaker here.


#162 alex carrington: lions strengthen DE.


#194 tim hiller: lions draft a young backup for the future.
