Here is my first lions mock of the year before the combine and this is how i like to see it happen:
st rd 2nd overall- Ndamukong Suh. I see st louis going with Jimmy Clausen with the number one the kid put up great numbers and is coming off a good season. And the Lions need a playmaker on defense(since we gave one away last year) and Suh is that player.
nd round- Either Sean Weatherspoon or Navaro Bowman- take one of these two and let larry foote go move Julian Peterson to DE and put DeAndre Levy at MLB
rd round-Toby Gerhart- Face it Kevin Smith isn't the power runner we all thought he could be so here we go with a goalline back to push thru the line and get that first down or TD when we need it.
th round -Donovan Warren- i think his stock in the draft will fall a little bit with Michigans poor play on the pass this last season. but here is a good nickel corner who could grow to be a number 2 with the right training staff in front of him he is good in size and tackling ability is great.
th round- John Jerry - Thick and is a good BoB blocker and that plays well with the lions zone scheme he wont start but he will be good at both guards and maybe at center if need be
th- Tridon Holliday - KR and PR he is the fastest man in the draft and this kid has a sick juke move but im not sure here
th- Carlos Singleton- i would like to see this guy come to Detroit he is 6'7" which would help Clavin lose some of the attention but he doesnt have much speed but hands are pretty soft but we will see with the combine
