Big Thank You to Mr. Sean Yuille
Alas, another season of Lions' football has come to a close, and we now welcome the offseason with open arms, wondering who the next young man we can call the savior of the franchise is.
But there's one topic, besides Suh v. Berry, or how much we hate Daunte Culpepper, that should be discussed: the phenomenal work and dedication Sean puts into this site to make it my personal favorite (and I'm sure many others) place to come to for Lions discussion and news.
I don't want to turn this into a creepy manlove thread like that other one that footstock did (no offense, I'm just not much for backslapping and whatnot) so I'll leave it at that. Thank you Sean. I'm sure this would have still existed without you in some capacity, but you've truly made this into one of the best sports blogs on the information superhighway.

Not a whole lot clear at this point
Depends on what MOS I end up going with.
Lost my job at GM last year, was forced to move in with my Dad again (at 23 years old) and there aren’t any more jobs here in Georgia than there were in Detroit.
So there you go. Probably leaving at the end of this month, beginning of next.
Hmmmmmmmm
I thought you were 35?? I must be thinking of someone else (Drew maybe???). You have proven your football knowledge wiser than your years Nate (sorry all this manlove stuff must REALLY be pissing you off!! LOL)

What???
Most impressive Sean. You are nearly 1/2 my age. God getting old is depressing. At least I am getting married soon and will have the rest of my life to spend with………………………………………GOD getting old is depressing!!

Sorry about the loss of your job.
I lost my GM job as well 1 year ago. My brother has 13 years and he HAD to transfer from Michigan to Kansas, leaving his 6 year old son here. Good luck in the service and be safe.
Good luck Nate...
I am in the Army. Have been going on 19 years now. If you need any advice, let me know. I’ll be happy to help.

Good luck is right. I hope you will have POD access!!

Appreciate it, guys.
I’ll keep you updated as to when I leave, not that too many people probably give a rat’s ass, lol.
It’ll be relatively soon though, so I will probably be in basic for the draft :(
That's what I was on my original enlistment
11X actually, airborne infantry.
Are you talking about EoD?
There isn’t a set MOS for operating UXVs yet, but they pull mostly from 11B. I know they use them in EoD some, but I am thinking more UAV for recon purposes. You get to play with a game controller in relative safety while your robot gets shot. Nice safe-ish work.
Military has too many acronyms
My dad was in the Air Force for 45 years and only spoke in this type of terminology.

…with the enthusiasm of the guy who rams his Monster Truck with the giant tongue into the backyard party in the Bud Lite ad. Nice work, Sean. Ditto to you guys with the Brown Nose & Guy Love pics. POD really rocks the house.

Bigs up to Sean "the Tide" Yuille (get it - yule tide...............eh anyway)
He does a wonderful job on gameday doing the play-by-play. Very accurate and no-nonsense, except when the game is out of hand (you can always tell because he starts to swear in his commentary – which was a lot this season).
I hope POD gets together next year for a game and we get to all meet in person the man, the myth, the 21-year old Spanish speaking legend -———————→ SEAN

I would love to meet for a game next year.
I know its for next year but if at some time in the future, people let me know what kind of seats and the money they want to spend for them, I can search the internet scalpers and set it up. Maybe I will put a post up within the next couple months. Maybe around the draft. Would love to do this.
I posted this in another thread
We actually have someone at SBN who sets up events like this, so I imagine we could try to get group tickets or something, hopefully at a discounted price.

Sounds good.
We can start there once we get a line on which game and who can attend. I can head this little project up later in the year and see where it goes.
I agree
I check this site daily… next to my Lions sources and any player movement.. Hell of a job Sean!!!
GO LIONS in 2010! the transformation starts now.. they have much to do.
Work
Most people don’t realize how much work it can be to be in charge of this blog, but I think all of us here at POD appreciate all that you do. You not only keep this thing running, but keep making it better and better.
Thanks – I am sure it is a labor of love, but we appreciate the labor you put in.
That's CLF and Profiler
at Ford Field next year for the POD game!!! LOL

Nice job Sean.
You do a great job on both the site, and the fantasy football.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.
You're welcome, everyone
And thanks to all of you who read the site and have turned POD upside down in terms of activity in the last year or so. It says a lot that the site just keeps growing after an 0-16 and 2-14 season. Plus, I love it that when I don’t get on a computer until like 3 in the afternoon I can come here and find that there have been a couple hundred new comments to check out. Thanks again and you’re all welcome!

Good job Sean at growing the site!
I’ve known about the site since the beginning of the 2008 season. Visited sporadically in 2008, didn’t see a lot of activity. At the beginning of 2009 training camp, I left another Lions board and came here to stay. Since then, things have exploded here! Lots more people, lots more postings, lots more energy! Best Lions site.
What? He can’t block a dead gopher? Humph, details.
We just got some numbers back from SBN comparing 2008 and 2009
I’ll share them later this week or something, but the increase in activity is pretty amazing.

If you’re like me I am sure you didnt even want to watch some of these games so great job for keeping it up (that’s what she said).
Thanks Sean
Keep up the good work!
2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).
Zack Follett: he will hurt your mind.
Thank you Sean!!
i hate to think what my idle hands would be up to if not for this site
and to continue what Sean said above, thank you to the community for keeping things…lively :)…i still miss Ralphie boy!!
Thanks Sean
Thanks for giving me here in Rome news about my team. Funny, I’m 43, and you were not born yet when I saw ny first Lions playoff game on TV (Lost to 49ers 24-23 missed FG on last play)
