Kwan Fired!

Kwan Fired!

http://www.detnews.com/article/20100108/SPORTS0101/1080445/Lions-fire-special-teams-coordinator-Stan-Kwan

I am sure that he is a great guy and all but I know our team gets much better after this firing.  Stan Kwan should have voluntarily stepped down after the performance of his special teams.  They really were "special" in more ways than one.  (You guys know what I mean)   I am so sick of us losing games because of extremely poor special teams play.  This is great news to me as I am sure if you have watched a game or two it is great news to you.  Once again, it's sad when somebody loses their job but I am glad that it is this guy.

He seems like a class act. Hope he finds a job elsewhere (just not here haha)

Agreed

Kwan seems like a really nice guy and definately a class act, but as a manager I have to respect what Schwartz did. If a person is not getting the job done, you have to let them go and we all know that Kwan was not getting it done.

No hard feelings, but I am excited we are at least making a change – let’s hope that either Jim has an ace up his sleeve or that this is to make room for Bobby April.

Thank God

I will have a story up in a little bit. All I can say is that if I were the one doing the firing, it would have gone down like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LNITt85-Rc

About time.

Stan was a nice guy but not the greatest ST coach. I say go get Bobby April.

Good news

Now if we can only get a competent return man. I feel for Kwan I suppose – u never want anyone to get fired but clearly our special teams have not been good for some time now.
