That is what I am talking about

Going in, this game had all the signs of a close game and early on it looked it. Then Logan went to town! Special teams actually playing special football? The Lions looked like a winner today and when they put their foot down and laid a little rubber on the pavement it was over. This is the type of game I have been waiting for, for so long.

This game went textbook for the Lions. Get the early advantage on the score board and force the rookie QB try to beat you. Bradford looked poised in the pocket but frankly he does not have the tools around him to get the job done and he spent more than enough time running for his life.

This game snowballed on the Rams. One thing after another went wrong for them and we took advantage! When was the last time we could say that? Seriously, I don't remember.

Credit has to be given where it is due. Mayhew, if you can keep bringing in talent like you have for 2 seasons, you are going to be a minor god in Detroit. Schwartz, Gunny and Linehan had this team ready and clearly had an effective plan set up from the get go. I am not going to get into player evaluation, I am sure someone else will do that eventually.

Today is a good day, my pizza and beer taste better than they have in a very long time.
