I saw Adam Schefter on ESPN today saying that even if it is Favre, nothing illegal occured, so that factors into the punishment.

We can look at Tiger Woods and come to the conclusion that even if you’re not doing anything illegal, you still are gonna feel plenty of repercussions from it. No, he didn’t commit a crime, but the public backlash will likely far outweigh any potential sentence he would’ve received for indecent exposure.

To be honest Favre is lucky as hell this is happening now, in what is likely his last season in the league. Imagine if this happened five years or ten years ago… it would’ve been the dark cloud hanging over his head for the rest of his career.

I hate Farve, but mostly because he played for the Cheese Rinds and beat us. Since he left the pack, I have come to appreciate what he is, a big hillbilly with a good arm, plenty of picks, and the guy you would want to have the ball when you are down in the 4 th quarter.

With him still playing, his image is getting a little tarnished. He showed up injured in Jets land, and didn’t finish the season well, but he did keep fighting. He called up teams playing the pack and pointed out things about their Defense because he was ticked the way he was treated by a second rate packers ball club. He throws a pick in the pick up game on the wranglers jeans ad. He had to go to the Betty Ford Clinic for drug rehab. And now, he flirts with women.

With all the things going on in his life, I’d say he is just some one who spends his life being examined all the time. We the fans have been fed a line that he is something great. Now that all the facts are in, he is a lot like us, not perfect, Let’s just enjoy the games and hope that when Minnie comes to town that we tear Farve’s arm off and shove the bloody stump down Jarred Allens filthy mouth.

1) I don’t care either. What he does in the privacy of wherever is whatever to me…

2) His wife might be cool with it? She was battling cancer while helping their daughter through a pregnancy. They are from Mississippi, not New York. I highly doubt the Favre’s are swingers. I think any Tomfoolery on Favre’s part was meant to be secret to all… especially Deanna. Where I will pass judgment is – if this is all true – cheating on your wife while she is fighting for her life. Again, if true… what a louse.

3) Because it’s 2010 and mobile phone cameras are all the rage, it’s acceptable to make an advance to a hot chick by shooting her a quick snappy of your schlong? Honestly, this is disgusting. Maybe there are folks here that like to do that stuff, but I couldn’t fathom doing that. Call me old-fashioned, but I like to ask “so.. where ya from”?

4) It’s a story because he is one of the most beloved quarterbacks in the history of the NFL and it turns out – if the allegations are true – he’s a giant, cheating, pervish sleazeball who likes to bang young chicks while his wife is busy getting her weekly round of chemo and wig shopping.

5) Yes, it gets big ratings.

Sorry if I came off overly judgmental or self-righteous, but we don’t all think this kind of stuff is okay. There are many decent guys in this world that would never, EVER even think about cheating on their spouse. It’s not being judgmental it’s being a decent human.
