Lions release Havner, resign Ciurciu
News courtesy of http://www.rotoworld.com:
"Lions waived injured ILB Spencer Havner (hamstring). Havner posted six tackles in five games. He'll be placed on injured reserve if he clears waivers."
"Lions signed LB Vinny Ciurciu. Ciurciu was released just before the start of the season after posting 12 tackles in three preseason games. He'll be used mostly on special teams, but could see a few plays on defense with the Lions' linebacking corps banged up."

CRAP! I thought Havner was a very nice pick up.
I guess he is still part Packer, as injury susceptible as everyone on the Packers right now.
He's not going anywhere with that injury, they'll resign him.
It’s just a numbers and injury situation at LB.
Hhhhhmmmm interesting
Ciurciu is very solid against the run. If he’s healthy and in game shape, I can see him filling in at MLB for Levy
In life, a man is either the hammer or the anvil. Ndamukong Suh is both
Pride of Detroits village idiot
Vinny is like the road runner
He just won’t go down..No matter what we do we can’t get rid of this guy lol. Liked how Havner played though I was worried about him on the field but he showed he can fill in at LB when called upon.
GET WELL SOON MATT! We need ya man
Me fail english thats umpossible
please don't ever mention that name again...
but you’re right, every time i thought we were finally done with that guy he just happened to be resigned AGAIN! thank god he’s not still on our roster.
IR waiver / injured
if he passes waivers he will be on IR (i think) if I am reading this right
GO LIONS in 2010! They are better than you think... You better not overlook these boys.. They are about to take control. So close!!!
Sucks
Havner was the perfect 53rd man on a roster, that being a guy who’s all kinds of versatile and a good special teams player.
Still, not as bad as losing your franchise QB or star WR, right guys?
