Thoughts And Prayers To Zack Follett
As you probably know, Zack Follett suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit during today's game against the Giants and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. It's unclear what kind of injury Follett suffered, but the Lions did provide an update by saying that he was transported to a local hospital and is conscious and has feeling and movement.
I'm sure we will get a more concrete update later, but for now I just want to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to Follett. He is a good guy, so here's to a full and speedy recovery.
UPDATE: Jim Schwartz said after the game that there is "no sign" of a spinal fracture for Follett. Also, Follett has movement in all four of his extremities and will stay in New Jersey for additional tests.

Good Game
Your guys are legit. I hope Follet is ok. Good luck the rest of the season.
No matter what happens, at the end of the day, I will always bleed Giants Blue.

You guy's have a talented team.
They just have to figure out how to win. Penalties killed you today, your team acually played better than us with a 3rd team QB.

Sorry, you are wrong. Turnovers killed us.
We needed to win the turnover battle to win this game. On the road against a good team, the Giants are a good team, you can’t have three turnovers and only one takeaway and expect to win. The penalties are frustrating, but the turnovers are what is killing us.

I swear I thought he was coming into his own today.
And I’m not just saying that.

Zack
He’s a leader on special team ; really happy to hear he’s consciousand has movement after a nasty hit
Fuck this game.....
I feel like I just got laid and had to pull out and stop because the doorbell rang.
And I got a tear in my eye over Zack.

You stop when the doorbell rings?
That’s not showing the proper dedication to the task!

WTF
is our starting OLB doing gunning on STs when we are already so incredibly thin at LB in the first place? This reeks of terrible coaching They know how he plays, is he more important out there gunning or playing his starting position?

Peterson was gunning too
And that turned out to be good, since he recovered a fumble on ST.
He’s clearly one of their best players on ST, so he needs to be out there as well.

peterson plays smart, I have no issue with him out there on STs
Zack is a damn bowling ball on STs, you have to be aware of how your players play and sometimes protect them from themselves.

Hope Zack is ok
When they said there was an injured Lion and went to commercial I turned to my dad and said “I hope it’s not Zack Follett.” When they came back from commercial and said it was Follett both my heart and jaw dropped. Follett has become my favorite player since Furrey because of his blue collar attitude and work ethic. I truly hope he’s ok.
Kind of felt like throwing up.
It’s carnage that we’re cheering on and ugh… Get ’em next week after bye. Whatever.

Zack, you are a soldier of God brother, get well and get back into the field of battle soon.

Good game
Lions definitely have the talent and ability to be a dangerous team. But the penalties and turnovers were killers; came at such crucial times (pass interference on nicks, Nate’s fumble). Best of luck on the rest of the season and I hope Zack recovers quickly, glad to hear he had some movement. I felt nauseous after the replay. Such a violent game.
Follett
Just saw a post from Zack on Facebook thanking everybody for their prayers. So, sounds like he is doing ok. There’s a lil good news for the day. Hopefully he makes a full recovery from whatever the injury is.
Agreed I read the same post and he sounded super upbeat.

Why wasn't the Follett hit put on the article about the head injuries on Sunday?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=An6fSMxadD5EjEPjK23AMDc5nYcB?slug=ap-helmet-to-helmethits
Does anyone think that the member of the giants that hit Follett deserved to be suspended?
No
It wasn’t a dirty hit and it wasn’t done with intentions. The hit on Joshua Cribbs deserves a suspension that was done with Malice and hurtful intentions. IMO

Agreed
It’s not like JPP went head hunting. He simply made a block and they collided helmets by accident.
