Lions Sign Cody Wallace Off Jets Practice Squad
Center Cody Wallace has been signed by the Lions off the New York Jets practice squad.
Wallace, as you may remember, was actually on the Detroit Lions practice squad from Sept. 22 to Oct. 3. The Jets added him to their practice squad a week ago, and now he is on the Lions' 53-man roster.
Before being on the Detroit practice squad, Wallace had been in San Francisco for two seasons. Before that, he played college football at Texas A&M.

Nice now we at least have another interior line man to provide depth
Not to mention that he could maybe give some insights to us about the Jets for when we play there here in not too long.

What a strange story this is.
He was on our practice squad, was released. Went on the Jets practice squad. Now is on our 53 man roster. From what I read of his description he is pretty much just a Center. I suppose he could play Guard as well.
Maybe Mayhew is planning on trading him back to the Jets? For a draft pick.
Trade deadline is past.
