Jahvid Best Not Limited In Practice Today
Once again, Shaun Hill and Zack Follett were the only players sidelined from practice today. The rest of the team was involved in practice in some form, which is a great sign for the Lions as they continue to prepare for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Another good sign for the Lions is that Jahvid Best was able to practice today without limitation.
Rookie running back Jahvid Best returned to practice today, taking part in the individual drills and also running plays with the offensive unit. Best (turf toe) only did some running on the side during Tuesday's workout.
In other news, it appears Ashlee Palmer will replace Zack Follett on Sunday. Originally it looked like Bobby Carpenter may get the start in place of Follett, but Palmer was practicing with the first-team defense. Carpenter was practicing with the second-stringers.
Also, Landon Johnson was getting reps at middle linebacker. Although DeAndre Levy practiced again today, it isn't clear if he will be able to play on Sunday. Jim Schwartz said Levy is "in the mix," but he apparently doesn't look close to being 100% healthy, so who knows if he'll go or not.

Well thats good
Better to have Levy on the field than off, that’s for sure.
Let’s hope he actually delivers. I’d love to see him fill the hole there.
COME ON LEVY
Get out there and play dammit.
The Fonz and SUH, bringing 50's football back to Detroit.
Cue all the Levy apologists
“He’s gonna be the captain of the defense!”
“He’s the future at MIKE!”
“That guy is a stud!”
If only he could actually play the game of football….
Nate, I am surprised you are so negative! Don't you know about his sterling college career?
He broke Joe Paterno’s leg.
On the bright side, Levy will not be one of the guys from his draft class with a lot of mileage on him, like that Laurinaitis character.
how do you feel about stafford pretty much the same situation nate

How so?
Stafford has WON us games. Stafford has contributed to the team in a major way. You might not think much of him because of his injuries, but it’s not every day a rookie/2nd year QB gains control of his locker room the way Stafford has. There’s a reason for that, and I’d say that he’s done far more in his short tenure in the NFL than Levy probably will his entire career.
dude
Teams rally around 2nd year QBs all the time. The fact of the matter is, players are coached from pee wee ball on up to rally behind who ever is behind center. It takes a completely spineless twit to not have the players rally around you. The Kid has won 2 games. TWO. All he has proven to be able to do consistently so far is get injured and sit on the sideline.
I just can’t believe what I am hearing on this board. People saying he is a future hall of fame QB. People saying Schwartz is a future HOF coach.
This is not even Kool-aid. This is just silly.
Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
Lions fan stuck in the desert
Hi, everyone. This is my first post ever. I am a bit intimidated but a true Lions fanatic. Lions must beat the Skins this Sunday!
If only Hill and Follett were out...
…then I guess that means Vasher is back. I realize he’s a shell of his former self, but I really hope this means we’ll be seeing a lot less of Wade this Sunday.
