Shaun Hill Starting Again For Lions; Nate Burleson May Play
Matthew Stafford's return to the Lions' starting lineup will have to wait until next Sunday against the Giants at the earliest, because Shaun Hill is once again going to start at quarterback for the Lions.
At this point, it appears Stafford's return will have to wait until after the bye week. Hill has been getting better and better as the starter for Detroit, and why bring Stafford back for one game when the bye is right after the Lions' visit to New York? I'd rather just sit him until the Lions host the Redskins on Halloween. (I will have more on his injury later.)
In other injury news, Nate Burleson returned to practice today and said he will play this week against St. Louis. That would be excellent news for the Lions' offense, which has been missing the added threat Burleson brings to the wide receiver position.
Jahvid Best and Louis Delmas, like Burleson, practiced today. Tony Scheffler, Sammie Hill, DeAndre Levy and C.C. Brown, on the other hand, were out.

Hope to see nate play
I assume the coaching staff is already planning post bye week for matt. Give him the extra week to heal and practice. Hopefully he won’t inherit a 0-6 team. I really doubt he plays the giants at this point.
GET WELL SOON MATT! We need ya man
Me fail english thats umpossible
no need for staff to play against the giants
he’d get murdered
Yeah that too
Just ask Jay Cutler.

Collins actually did better than Cutler in that game
Ndamukong Suh - Bringing 50's football back to Motown!
My opinion
I think they have known all along that Staff was out until after the bye week. They with held the information for ticket sales. Its a business after all and he is the hot ticket for this team. Not that it made any difference, Sunday’s game is on the threshold of not selling out anyhow.
Having nate back is a much needed boost to the Receivers, CJ is finally starting to open things up a bit and having Nate on the other side should help matters more.
Lions fans deserve better than being the laughing stock of the NFL. Lets all hope they are heading in the right direction finally.
Dunno if its ticket sales
As much as this is just how were gonna do buisness now.

Good point
I think that certainly could have played a part of withholding the info. Then again, Schwartz is just secretive like that.

well, if you want to be all secretive
then why name your Starting QB on a Wednesday? Wait until later on in the week.

This Levy injury is really getting frustrating.
Maybe they should go ahead and put him on the IR, and get another body in here. I don’t remember seeing him play against Minny, but I heard he started and got two tackles. It seems like he is no closer to playing.
I hope Sammie Lee is okay. I did not remember seeing him against the Packers …..and sure enough, his stats say he did not play. I think he is an important part of the DT rotation. We don’t need Suh and Corey getting worn out early because we only have Fluellen as a back up.
I think Levy in a big injury
it weakens an already weak unit.
if the shoe fits...get another one just like it - George Carlin
It looked like Sheff got his bell rung on that great sideline catch he made.
He stayed in the game, but I think he might be out next week.
I was thinking the same thing...
I wonder if it is a head thing or a torso (ribs) thing.

CC
Since CC didn’t practice who played for him? Spievey? I’m curious how whoever it was looked.
They say some people never go crazy.... what a boring life that must be!!
Shaun Hill droppin dimes on these fools
I can’t wait to see more dip and duck football, its almost like watching game 7 of the nba finals. Hill looked like rondo dishing the rock around. Go #14 Lions 4 life.

I thought this might be the case
It’s good to have Nate back, but Levy is annoying.
