Just Bradford, really.
His receivers aren’t anything overly special, but Bradford is a really good QB, admittedly. The real deal, the real deal.
I voted for Sam Bradford.
I think the Lions can contain Steven Jackson, and the O Line is not that good so the threat to the Lions is more from Bradford and his mediocre group of WRs. I am not terrified of Bradford, but the Rams offence will depend more on his ability than Jackson’s.
If we can pick off Favre and Aaron Rodgers, we can pick off a rookie too.
From 0-16 to the Superbowl baby!
we could pick them off, but we couldnt stop the deep ball (or the TD)
And I think we will do well, but if asked which one I fear the most I say Bradford. It has more to do with the Dline being good than Bradford or our secondary.
once the runner gets past that D line
there has been nothing to stop him all year. we are giving up 130+ a game this season on the ground.
Ouch!

Steven Jackson
For me a no brainer. His O line is crap but Jackson can get it done.
GET WELL SOON MATT! We need ya man
Me fail english thats umpossible
Definitely the talented running back
Through four games Sam Bradford has played about as well statistically as Shaun Hill, against weaker pass defenses.
Through our first three games, we have allowed Matt Forte to get 201 total yards, LeSean McCoy 128 total yards, and Adrian Peterson 190 total yards. We contained the Packers’ backup running backs pretty well (as Ryan Grant was out with injury), but against Steven Jackson, I can see our defense really having trouble.
Hey that's a timeout, I can play right? yeah, get me--get the F-- Help me up...I can throw the ball if you need me to throw the ball...
Schwartz said it himself
This Sunday, we need to do a better job of stopping Rams RB Steven Jackson than we did last time. He was the difference in the game in 2009

I agree, and voted that way.
P. S. for those who may not have noticed, our run defense this year is actually weaker than the pass defense. While our defensive line is a monster against the pass, as soon as you get past their over aggressiveness and over pursuit on the outside you are facing a back seven that struggles to come up and fill gaps. Screen passes and runs straight up the middle have both been a huge concern for our defense.
Part of the issue with out scheme is that our defensive linemen tend to line up in outside gaps, sometimes leaving the middle wide open, in fact sometimes no one even lines up over the center or either of his gaps. Which just begs the offense to run right up the middle. Without a healthy Levy, the back up MLB has fallen short in cleaning up the middle run lanes, not to mention our Safeties. Especially C. C. Brown since he is more of a SS type that should be good against the run. Adrian Peterson says thank you very much C. C. for not being able to take a pursuit angle and fight off a stiff arm. Shady McCoy says thank you very much to Landon Johnson for getting blocked out on two nice TD runs straight up the middle. He also thansk Randy Phillips for coming up and diving at his knees so he can jump over him on his way to a long touchdown. Matt Forte thanks the Back seven for all missing or getting blocked out on his 89 yard screen pass run. Finally, last, but certainly not least, John Khune thanks the entire front 7 for allowing him to run it right down our throat, chewing over 6 minutes off the clock, one conversion on 3rd and 8, that made him look like Mike Alstott.
While I would like to think that we have been stout against the run, this is he area on defense that is the elephant hiding in the room, in plain sight, that everyone seems to be missing. It is as much of a concern to me as our passing defense, and after last week is even more of one in my mind. While our passing defense is coming alone and slowly improving the run defense, especially up the middle of the defense continues to struggle and be a large contributor to losses. Thankfully Stephen Jackson is banged up, however I am not very confident that means much against us.
It is time to step up or shut up for our defense. Maybe we should put a guy like Avril or Willie Young in there at MLB, at least they would stop the run and probably not be any worse in pass coverage. Stopping Stephen Jackson is hugely important in this game, it will make it that much harder for Sam Bradford to get it done with his only real deep threat being Clayton.
That being said, our offense can be just as effective there, by getting an early lead and a big lead we can take the run game right out of their game plan. Forcing Bradford to throw is a much better option at this point than letting Stephen Jackson face 7 in the box. Bring 8 in the box and make the rookie work under pressure.

In each game (except GB)
We have killed our numbers with a long TD run. 80+ for the vikes and Bears and a 50 or 60 yarder for the Eagles.
Those runs I blame more on the back 7 than the front 4.
For sure, The back 7 is nto supporting the front 4 and filling gaps like they should (mainly the LB's)
Of course the Safeties have to make plays in the run game too. I am not going to get on the corners too much, I think they are doing pretty good for the most part it is not on them to consistently stop run plays, if it is there are big problems.

Personally, no rookie quarterback scares me.
Unless we had that dreaded 2008 Lions defense, then maybe, but Bradford is still a rookie and I’m pretty sure with the interceptions we got from Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre that sacking him and picking him off won’t be too difficult. Steven Jackson is my biggest worry and unless Bradford turns into the next Dan Marino, it’s a lot harder to shine on the road against a team that’s hungrier than yours for a win. Could be a trap game, but I expect the Lions to win big and Bradford to get picked 3 times with 3-4 sacks against him.
From 0-16 to the Superbowl baby!
There was something missing on the poll

No doubt Steven Jackson
our LBers are worse than our secondary

Pride of Detroits village idiot
I think the key matchup is going to be Gunny's blitz schemes vs Bradford's ability to read them and find the open man
If Bradford can excel at doing that, we’re screwed. If he can’t then he’ll be on his back most of the game.

I voted "not scared"...
The Rams’ offense will be arguably the easiest so far this year.
Further more… as a team, they’re only averaging 95yds/game…. Hell, Steven Jackson has been banged up so much that he’s only averaging 71yds/game.
Mean while, Detroit IS giving up… 135yds/game… which was mostly Vick and AP.
Detroit held Chicago to just over 100 and GB to 92.
I don’t care who the RB is… if you can’t stop the run in the 4th Quarter, you’re going to have a tough time running.
I expect detroit to take the run away right away with zone blitzs and force Bradford to make the quick read that he so confidently thinks he can make.
I also expect the defense or special teams to score… its been awhile. Lets see if Logan can take a Kickoff to the house… the lions were a couple blocks from doin that last week.
I voted for Jackson
I think the Rams will have the weakest offense that we have faced, but I still can see things going bad. Jackson – hurt or not – can carve up a defense. This will be a good chance for the Lions to show something up front. Make me proud, boys!
Jackson
He’s a stud and we’re having trouble against stud running backs. Don’t get me wrong, Bradford may be dangerous, especially since he seems to thrive on short passes, and we have trouble stopping them. If we can slow down the running game and force Bradford to throw under pressure then mistakes will come.
RIP Robyn Bailey 1961 - 2010. I love you mum.
we will have our easiest game to date
and scotty still knows his old team quite well ….I think he will have ways to pick apart their scemes ….gunther will put lots of pressure on the rookie and he will make mistakes ….as long as can’t cover brown and dim-wit wade can defend and tackle , and our 4th string linebackers can not allow huge plays ……alot to ask !!!!
first game - aug. 1970 = hooked ever since = GO LIONS!!
when was ....
the last time we rushed a punt , flea flickered , reverse hand off on kick-offs , anything with some imagination …fake field goal …..at 0-4 , I would try just about anything to kick-start a win
first game - aug. 1970 = hooked ever since = GO LIONS!!
Well we have a new special teams coach and he is only 4 games in
We have seen big improvements in the coverage unit and some upgrades in the return game (though they are about 1 block off every game of breaking a big one). We have also seen our coverage units causing fumbles, that is awesome!
I would expect to see more creativity in special teams down the road once Danny Crossman gets the basics down for these guys of how he wants them to play for him.

A Lions run back of course.
