I understand everyone is pissed about the Bills loss, but we aren't going to win if every fan is being so defeated. Move on, pick our heads up and dust ourselves off. We are rebuilding from 0-16. I will say that again 0 wins and 16 losses. Building a team doesn't happen in 2 Years very often. We have completely flipped our roster and dumped the problems ( Dante Culpepper, Roy Williams). We have added, Logan, Stafford, Hill, Sims, Scheffler, KVB, Phonzo, Houston and others. All are going to be good building blocks. It takes time to provide the continuity on our roster, and we are getting there.
Coach Schwartz is trying to build a team out of pretty much nothing. Last year we had a porous d-line with Grady Jackson. We had a terrible secondary with Henry/Buchanan. Look at the progress we are making and be optimistic.
The rest of the season:
We may get wins at Dallas, Tampa, and Miami. Plus we still have to Play Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota at home. And Cleveland was able to beat the Patriots at home. WE CAN WIN. We probably won't win them all, but we are capable. There are many win-able games left on the schedule and we should look forward and stop all the self loathing. If the lions are going to change the culture, we as fans, need to stop calling for players/coaches jobs, and stop being so defeated in our attitudes.
I am encouraged that the players aren't having the same attitude. I have watched the videos online and all the focus is on getting better and playing. We need to move on and play. The Bills game was a set back, but all is not lost. We came back when it mattered and gave ourselves a chance to win. That is completely different from old (Millen) lions. With Marinelli as HC, we would have quit and gone into the locker room. This problem won't be fixed by having a revolving door at the head coaching position. So Lions fans, pick your heads up and dust off the shame.
