I insist they had help from the zebras.  So, Detroit goes up 5 after a strong defensive effort earning a safety.  The following drive stalls, though, and the Lions punt.

Game changer 1.  Impact: huge.

After a special teams error by the Lions, McCann went out of bounds 20 yards (about 3 steps) before the TD and no one noticed.  If the call was made, instead of a touchdown, the 'boys have to try to score against the Lions D which hadn't given up anything since the first drive.

Detroit turns over the ball on the next drive, and it appears the rout is on.

Game changer 2.  Impact: demoralizing.

However, Detroit battles back and is within 2.  Cowboys have driven deep into Detroit territory, and LoJack comes up with a huge sack that would have held the drive to 3.  Momentum was shifting before our eyes, and the hope candle was thinking about relighting itself.  But no.  On the very next play, the refs call a phantom horse-collar on Barber's hair.  The Cowboys get 3 more tries at the end zone and don't need them all.  They score, and this time, the rout really is on.

Both blown calls came at times when Detroit was playing well, and both calls were UNQUESTIONABLY wrong.  I am beyond pissed off.  The refs even took time to discuss Marion Barbers hair before jobbing the Lions the second time.  This is the WWF, and the ref just happens to look away while Ric Flair gets out the chair.  Totally and utterly disgraceful.  Thanks for ruining my weekend for the SECOND GODDAMN TIME THIS SEASON you stupid, blind, part-time clods.
