I've been reading for awhile and love all your comments. I am a die hard Lion fan out here in Sacramento, California! (Not too many out here) I haven't been this excited as a Lion fan since Barry left the field in his last regular season game in which we made the wildcard. (oddly enough against the Jets... if memory serves correctly). Things seem to be turning and it is an exciting time to be a fan of this team. However, one of my concerns going forward is our special teams unit. The firing of Quan (Kwan?) was a great start but watching them against the Skins last Sunday was unbearable. I know Zack is out and I think Isiah Ek. was out too but I am more concerned with Hanson's leg. I love Jason Hanson. He has been a rock in Detroit and he has meant so much to the organization. But since I'm sure he'll be retiring this offseason what do you think we should do? I haven't seen Jason kick a touchback all season! (I did not see the Ram game). Our opponents seem to get amazing position whenever we kick to them. I think this is one of the main factors hindering us from really turning the corner. I was very impressed with Steve Hauschka in the preseason. He is only 24 and seemed to have a booming leg. I was very upset we let him go. He is currently playing in the UFL and doing really well from what I've read. (The only reason I know anything about the UFL is because we have a team here in Sacramento coached by former Viqueen Dennis Green AND oddly enough our quarterback here is none other than Lion fan favorite Daunte Culpepper!!! I can't get away from this guy) Do you think the Lions will go after a kicker in the draft or do you think we should get someone with a little experience or should we try to get someone like Hauschka? Just curious because our opponents starting field position is driving me insane!
Kill the Jets!!!
