I know this is a Lions blog but occasionally there is a person that has such a powerful impact on their sport as to transcend boundaries. Sparky Anderson was one of those men. My memories of him started with the Detroit Tigers and he never disappointed. He was a forward thinking gentleman of the game.

76 years is just not enough for a man of his caliber and the world is a little darker now that he is gone.
