Poll: NFL Victory Of The Week

This post is sponsored by Prilosec.

The homer in me made me vote for the Lions' win over the Buccaneers, but it's probably a lost cause this week. The Eagles' walk-off win on a punt return touchdown should take home this week's crown rather easily.

I voted for the Lions game

cause I’m a fan. And it was a great game.

I’ll be happy with it being 2nd this week though cause that Eagle comeback was fucking amazing.

NO.CONTEST. LIONS OVER THE BUCS!

Philly already has a more miraculous win over the hapless Giants.

Ending a twenty-six game road losing streak against a potential play off team [not any more?] by tieing on the last play of the fourth quarter on a sixty yard drive in 90 seconds, then driving down the field and winning the game on the first possession. PRICELESS!

Absolutely- Lions over the Buc's

The last time I checked, the Lions were playing with their 3rd string QB, a makeshift LB corp, back-up corners & safeties, and without their starting DE – KVB. That’s a HUGE hurdle to overcome for any team. Now factor in the 26 game road losing streak against a playoff contending team and you’re looking at an uphill battle that should be improbable to say the least. There are some players on the Lions that have NEVER won a road game in their pro career (Cliff Avril, Kevin Smith, Louis Delmas, DeAndre Levy, Sammy Hill, and the list goes on). The win by the Lions is not just a win to the franchise. It’s a turning point. An opportunity for an organzation to change a culture of losing into a team built on success. I like where this team is going. I believe that the Lions are heading in the right direction. The win against Green Bay last week was the first turning point- learning to win. This team had the confidence to win against the Rams (they were worse than the Lions last year). They knew they could beat the Redskins (they did it last year). They needed that close game to get over the hump and it happened against the Packers. Against the Buc’s, this win was a chance to get the last monkey off their backs. This is a franchise changing win. Of course it’s the win of the week.

Wild endings in NY/Philly games? Yawn….I give you Joe Pisarcek(sp?)/Herm Edwards.

Lions...

I’ll vote for the Lions even though the last 8 minutes played by the Eagles were pretty damn amazing and like nothing else I’ve seen in years. So while I KNOW which victory was more impressive, my blind loyalty clicks Lions.

Eagles are def at the top

But a Lions win always gets my vote especially on the road! Lets make it 3 in a row BABY!

Cannot play with them. Cannot win with them. Cannot coach with them. Can't do it. I want winners. I want people that want to win. - Mike Singletary
