Offseason Feb. 17th edition
Resigning:
Will James, CB - Not a starting CB for sure, maybe a good fit in the nickel or dime.
Jason Hunter, DE - Has been a great player and a solid backup
Daniel Bullocks, S - A good player, but needs to prove that he can get back to his ability before the injury.
Will Heller, TE - Has been a decent pickup, a solid backup but a better 3rd option.
Jon Jansen, OT - A hometown player, adds great depth to the OLine
Free Agency:
Aaron Kampman, DE - This should be the Lions main free agent their going after. A great 4-3 DE, coming off an injury he will not be getting as much attention, maybe the Lions can keep him in the Midwest
Ladanian Tomlinson, RB- Dont think he would EVER come to Detroit?? Think again, LT is still an elite starting RB in his mind, and with the chance to prove it and start in Detroit I believe he will take it as long as we pay him decently.
Stacy Andrews, OG - Could be a great pick up and could start and add depth all over the line.
Gabe Watson, DT - A huge DT who could be a solid rotational player
Dre Bly, CB - The 49ers are gonna let him walk, and he always has loved playing in Detroit, and with the new look Lions he may really want to return. Could be a good 3rd CB.
Nate Burleson, WR - The 2nd wideout that the Lions NEED
Draft:
After St.Louis goes QB #1, Washington and Seattle look to trade up. The Lions are there offering #2 to the best offer.
Trade #2 and #98 to Seattle for #6 and #14 (it works on the trade value chart)
#6. Eric Berry, SS, Tennessee : Best player in the draft. Could be a huge pick-up and would make a safety tandem that offensive coordinators have never seen.
#14. Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee : Had a great game at the senior bowl. Is a huge DT that Cunningham and Schwartz love.
#34. Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State : The type of leader and player that the Lions said they loved, especially when the met him and coached him at the Senior Bowl.
#66. George Selvie, DE, USF : Was once a first round prospect, but after a rough senior year he has fallen. Still a great prospect.
#138. Jacoby Ford, WR, Clemson : A homerun threat that proved to be a huge asset during his time at the senior bowl.
#163. Legarrette Blount, RB, Oregon : Showed how much he helps in the running game when he returned for the end of his senior year. Personal problems make him available this late.
#177. Clifton Geathers, DE, South Carolina : A 6'8" defensive end who could be a great late round pick up.
2010 Starters-
Offense:
QB - Matt Stafford
RB - Tomlinson / Smith
FB - Felton
WR - Johnson, Burleson, Johnson, Ford
TE - Pettigrew, Heller
OT- Backus and Cherlius
OG - Andrews and Peterman
C - Raiola
Defense:
DE - Kampman and Avril
DT - Williams and Hill
OLB - Peterson and Sims
MLB - Levy
CB - Wilson and Buchanon/Bly
S - Delmas and Berry
Thats a team that can compete for division title

I think you may have misunderstood
I remember Dre Bly playing here very well. I also remember him leaving after being deemed a ‘locker room cancer’
Pet peeve
Resigning does not mean the same thing as re-signing. That is all.

Thanks
I always feel like I am being a jerk when I mention stuff like that. It is good to know that others have the same grammatical pet peeves.
I can’t stand it when people post with all lower caps, multiple random abbreviations, and no punctuation.

LT has no gas left in the tank
and if the chargers would have figured that out they would have made the AFC championship game.If the Lions are not going to fix the O-line soon we might as well draft another QB or we’ll have another Joey Harrington-deer-in-the-headlights-QB
No to LT.
LT is a Quitter. How many times have you seen him on the sideline in the 4th Qrt when his team needed him, with a “bruised” something. Not the kind of player we need here, and not the kind of player that would want to play for this team.
GO LIONS!!!
Switch LT with CT (chester taylor)
I would looove it if even half of this happened. The draft alone would leave me weeping in joy
Like the re-signings and Draft, but not FA
Aside from Kampman, I’m not impressed at all with your FA. Hate Burleson, Bly, Andrews and LT.
Although, if the draft went the way you have it, I would buy 3 sets of Season Tickets 2 seconds after the draft… and I live 2.5 hours North of Ford Field.

thats ummm intresting
couple of things i love LT but he won’t play for detroit. Also trading that pick is not happening people and even if it did berry won’t make it out of the top 5. KC like him as well
The best there is, The best there was, and the best there ever will be - Bret the Hitman hart
+1
If I had an absolute guarantee that KC (or even TB) wouldn’t take Berry, it would be tempting. Too risky, though………KC likes Berry.
Honorary Driver of the Kyle Wilson Bus and Keeper of the Dreadlocks!
The 313 Missile Squadron: Delmas, Berry, Wilson......seek and destroy!
Hey, as long as Zack Follett keeps hitting people, he can rap to Barney the Dinosaur for all I care.
very good draft otherwise

Appreciate the effort
Interesting draft.
The Bringers of Hope: Stafford - Delmas - C. Johnson - Pettigrew - Levy - Hill - Schwartz
Zack Follett: he will hurt your mind.
If that offseason happened,
I would buy season tickets for the next decade
The beginning of the end of the misery
