After mountains of positive press and scouting reports based upon his play at LSU, Glenn Dorsey hasn't been all that impressive in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform. We've been hearing rumblings since midway through the 2009 season that Dorsey could be on the trading block, with a possible suitor being the Detroit Lions. Lions D-coordinator Gunther Cunningham was with the Chiefs when they drafted Dorsey, so he's obviously sold on the big man's potential.
Tom Kowalski of MLive.com is hip to the rumors, although he called the trade a "longshot" back in January. We've still got two months until the draft, and a lot can change once Romeo Crennel gets situated in K.C., so we won't call this one dead yet. Of course, the Chiefs shouldn't expect a ton in return:
At this point, I think I would be happy with either Suh or McCoy and then trading a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Dorsey. Bring those two in and possibly get Vandenbosch or Kampman at DE. With that D-Line and our current linebackers, our secondary won't look so terrible.
Zach Follett, give me your thoughts...
