QB Roulette
So the 2009 season is over, and we've seen what the QB's drafted last year were made of. Mark Sanchez made it to the AFC championship game at the helm of the New York Jets' revitalized defense and #1 running game, Matt Stafford made a name for himself in a fondly-remembered win over the Cleveland Browns in a 2-14 season, and Josh Freeman showed most of the NFL just what all that raw talent and physical prowess might mean for Tampa Bay down the road.
Now I know that a lot of us really questioned the drafting of Matt Stafford at #1 last year, myself included. I was furious. However, the season has now passed us, and we have the ability to look back in hindsight. With the next draft approaching, I'd just like to poll our constituency on a relatively simple question, that I feel is pretty loaded:

if it is WITH OUT knowing what he did i would go Clausen
but if it is WITH knowing what he did ii would go with Stafford..
Clausen is a better prospect then Stafford was this time last year.. and i truly believe the he is as big of a cant miss as suh and berry are
Yeah, I meant post 2009.
Knowing how the players performed this year, would you trade in our QB for one of the unknowns or other draftees.
Stafford all the way
I supported the all last year I love the kid and tuley feel he can be a franchise QB in 4 to 5 years he will be up there with some of the best. IF and i mean IF the lions do this right and give him a team to lead into battle that can help to victory he is a true leader and has a fantastic skill set. Next I’d say Mccoy and then Lefevour tebow isn’t on my list. Bradfords injurys deter me from him he’s a very good qb though. Sanchez I still have problems with him the jets were built so all any QB had to do was not lose and he still managed to do that. Freeman hasn’t showin me any reason to jump on his bandwagon other than he is arrogant when he said he would be hands down the best QB in that draft (good luck with that josh) Claussen is a good pick but I just dunno about him I actually think Quinn could still be the better ND QB. nope I am taking the Bulldog everytime.

I can't beleave that Staffinfection has every single vote so far....
I know I was against drafting him and we payed for his rookie-ness last year but I have never seen a rookie QB who could get some of those passes into such tight spots. He won me over way before his game against the Browns. As long as we do him right like you said profiler, we have a future all-pro/probowler here in Motown. And as Jcruise/Bishop/ pointed out to me a few months ago that hasn’t happened in over 50 years…..
Bobby Lane
Went to the same highschool as staff and they were the last two Qbs to win a championship at that school I belive. Just something to hope for as if we haven’t already got are hopes up for the 15th time. I watched stafford play alot of college games I always liked him I just didn’t think we would get that lucky.

lol profiler
So does lightning strike twice and we land this years best player in Suh? Here’s too hoping.
Hindsight IS 20/20
I too was against drafting Stafford. Not so much I didn’t like him as much as I was more for building from the trenches out. Now that I have seen him play for a year, I don’t think I would want anyone else at the helm.
Just to mention some thing of subject a bit. I know Staff and Sanchez will be compared for years to come, just because they where drafted in the same year. But I hope to hell he turns out to be better than that pompas ass, defense coattail riden to the superbowl, lucky as hell, hidin behind punk, Eli Manning. Funny thing is, I like Payton. Just don’t care for his brother.
I got nothin against Eli
he actually one of my favorites. As far as demanding a trade on draft day it’s not like he is the 1sxt guy to ver do that John Elway anyone. Its just buisness I don’t hold it against him the guy can play and if you don’t belive me look at the tyree pass and tell me brady wouldn’t have eaten the dirt on that pass rush. lol

I'm biased, so Stafford
Behind them:
Clausen (looks a good prospect), Sanchez (he’s got something), Freeman (got great tools, might not be hugely successful though), Bradford (the best of the spreaders), McCoy, Tebow, LeFavour
The Bringers of Hope: Stafford - Delmas - C. Johnson - Pettigrew - Levy - Hill - Schwartz
Zack Follett: he will hurt your mind.
I wanted Stafford last season....
I would not want any other QB.
if the shoe fits...get another one just like it - George Carlin
To gauge interest and create discussion about other QBs in the league
If you would like, I can post a mock draft or Suh v. Berry discussion
let me help you out...
Rd1. BPA ( OG, DT, CB, S, DE or a RB)
Rd2. BPA ( see RD1)
RD3 BPA ( see RD2)
RD3 – Trade Sims ( for a additional pick and a “like new” ford taurus). BPA
Question: Do we get a 7 round pick this year?

lol...
I meant it in a sarcastic tone…as in Stafford by far is the best choice…Just Imagine either Bradford or McCoy taking as much punishment as Stafford has this season…neither could make it past the 3rd game
