2nd Round Scenario
Hey Everybody,
I have noticed that our second round pick in this year's draft seems to have sparked just as much interest as our first, and maybe more. From the sites I have researced, and from the conversations here at P.O.D., the consensus seems to be targeting three players. Brandon Graham, Mike Iupati, and Kyle Wilson. Let's just say for the sake of argument that all three are available when we pick in the second at #34. Given that choice, which one would you pick, or is there someone else you favor?

Brandon Graham
I doubt either of those three guys make it to the third
The beginning of the end of the misery
Kyle Wilson regardless

Hey, as long as Zack Follett keeps hitting people, he can rap to Barney the Dinosaur for all I care.
Kyle Wilson
He could be a dominant corner. Dare I mutter shutdown. He is the next Al Harris and in this division we need one of those.

Mutter, mutter!
You are right. In a division with Aaron Rodgers, Cutler, and whoever replaces Favre, we need Al Harris-types, especially for this blitzing defense. With Eric Berry, Louis Delmas, and Kyle Wilson, we could wreak havoc for years to come!

very well said
The NFC north is no longer the black and blue running division it once was. The entire league is changing into a heavy pass offense. We need to be able to cover and get turnovers. While we have to upgrade the pass rush and the run D. I belive with those 3 guys we could quickly become one of the best secondarys in the NFL instead of the worst.

AGREED!
Exactly my thoughts on it all — Our division is QB loaded, I mean 4 actual franchise QBs (if Favre returns). We need a secondary that can compete with these likes.
WE NEED THE 313 MISSILE SQUADRON!

Iupati OG Idaho
well if you put it that way, i would go with the OG only because we need as many starters as soon as possible, i think thats way people think we got so many ‘star rookies’ last year but no one remembers that we took the BPA in every pick regardless of who we took they need to be the BPA at their position
2nd CB
Depends on who you ask Mayock has him at 2

David Baas
Is a FA and a great proven gaurd. I’d almost rather have stafford behind proven vetrans than rookies this early in his career.

2nd round pick
All three are upgrades,
Wilson is just now starting to shoot up on the boards. Great speed and able to anticipate where the ball will go.
Graham just had a great senior bowl week (he was called unblockable by several people during the week). Plus MVP for the game was a plus and also has a great motor.
Iupati will be great for the run. He will need some work though… Will make a great guard, he did not look good in the LT spot. Also has a tendacy to hold as shown in the senior bowl game.
I’m sure that a few really good players will drop down to the 2nd round and I bet we will trade the pick.
Wilson
CB is our biggest hole and Wilson would go a long way to filling that hole.
The Bringers of Hope: Stafford - Delmas - C. Johnson - Pettigrew - Levy - Hill - Schwartz
Zack Follett: he will hurt your mind.

Kyle Wilson! Kyle Wilson! Kyle Wilson! The man, the fit, the attitude! He's Delmas with a bus!
SLH has great athleticism and pass-rushing potential and is improving at UT. Cliff Avril is fast, gets a good pass rush, and will improve with more pieces around him. A fast pass-rushing DE like Jerry Hughes or George Selvie can be had later to pair with Avril. All these pieces fit our team. And we get a good pass rush from the blitz…….but we need elite DB’s to allow all that to happen.
Add some great, talented, ferocious players who fit, like Eric Berry and Kyle Wilson, and look out! The 313 Missile Squadron will tear you APART!
Delmas! Berry! Wilson!

Kyle Wilson
Hands down. we can get suh in the first round if hes not their then berry. however their is depth at DE and OT, their is actually very little depth at cb. I know that this sounds risky, but if 2 out of the three guys are gone and their are still a couple picks left til us and there is a threat the last guy is going to be taken i would trade up a couple spots

+1
me too…….he’s a special player. Kyle’s got the intangibles and the personality, not merely the physical skills. Does anyone deny that Louis Delmas is a special player with a winner’s mentality? Kyle Wilson is cut from the same cloth. Those kind of men don’t grow on trees.

Depends
I think it all depends on who we take in the first round. I would like Suh falling to us and then take Graham in the 2nd. What an immediate upgrade in the D Line.
