Caleb Campbell...blast from the past

This is  a cool story....offering him a one year contract to play this year if he can get let out 2 months early...

He was a Millen pick in a late round, so he's got that "not going" for him, but he was a really popular story and I think it will be worth seeing what he can do in camp.

The story is on Mlive

Nice

He is a hard worker who if nothing else will provide solid depth and leadership on special teams along side Follett

If I remember correctly...

He was a possible late 2nd – 4th round pick prospect if it was not for his service contract getting in the way. That is why we got him in the 7th. He was a bad ass for sure tho. I hope he is still in form, that is a long time to be away from football. Good luck bro your gonna need it… but we do need players.

If schwartz likes him enough

It could eliminate Berry at number 2

Correct

The article said he worked out with our LBs coach and special teams coach.

Similar to Follett really

Start him at special teams and give him time to learn the position and fit into the scheme.

Must have missed that

Thats cool hell even Urlacher played Saftey. I like the kid I really hope this works out for everyone. Even if he isn’t a starter he could be a big part of this team.

Good-o

The Bringers of Hope: Stafford - Delmas - C. Johnson - Pettigrew - Levy - Hill - Schwartz
Zack Follett: he will hurt your mind.

I hope he makes it.

He’s a class act. If he can contribute, thats even better.

Nice

He actually ran a really fast time at his pro day a year ago. It was a high 4.47 and a 4.50 i believe which is really good for any position.

True

But according to reports, he was in for a workout on Tuesday and ran about the same times.

Wow, I never thought I'd see everyone here so excited for a Millen pick!

j/k

It’s great that he’s finally getting a shot, and that he looks like he’s still in good enough football shape to compete for a spot.

Hey that's a timeout, I can play right? yeah, get me--get the F-- Help me up...I can throw the ball if you need me to throw the ball...

He won't make the team

But we can still cut Kalvin Pearson once he’s signed. This guy will not play linebacker. Maybe another special teams gunner.

nice story, but

I can’t picture this guy every really contributing to an NFL team. He might be good on Special Teams, besides that I can’t really picture him doing anything.
