Larry Foote Agrees to Three-Year Deal with Steelers

Foote, a starter at middle linebacker last season for the Lions, has agreed to terms on a three-year, $9.3 million deal, including a $1.8 million signing bonus, with the Steelers, a league source confirmed.

he threw the lions under the bus with his ‘wanting to get back to a winner’ comment. good riddance.

Sigh

Just over 3 mill per year, including the bonus……I think he is worth all of that and then some. Watch him light it up next year for the Steelers.

Oh you didn't know?? You're ass better CALLLLLLLL SOMEBODY!!!!!

Of course he will, if he doesnt it's a great move not resigning him.

They have multiple pro bowl players on that defense, plus its the same system he has been in for the past 7 years (excluding the Lions stint).

Honestly...

I know he was a good vet prez in the locker room & all that, but I was, much like the staff, a little more impressed w/ the play of Levy, for switching from OLB 2 MLB, as a rookie & display the kind of play that he did speaks volumes. I’m sure they’ll pick 1 up this year in the draft, that can put up the kinda #s Larry did, of course it’s hard 2 when your hurt/old, no offense. Just, injuries are more of a factor 30+, I can’t see if giving him a multi-year contract, when you got a guy like Levy, Follets an up & coming guy 2 I think, I liked his contribution on speacial teams. It’s 2 bad it didn’t work out here in hid hometown, it’s always good 2 see the homies do well here.

I was confused by some of the things Foote said

I think he handled it a little weird, but overall, I still really like the dude. I wish him luck, even though I despise the Steelers, there’s not too many teams in the league I’d rather see fail.

Steelers

What will Pittsburg look like if Big Ben can’t cuntrol ’Little Bennie" and gets prosecuted? No misspelled word there.

A backup are you joking

He is still a starter and a leader. I think we must all show are grattitude here though. The one year Larry spent in detroit he made are team better in the long run. He’s a great talent and a leader of men. Delmas, Levy, Hill all are young defensive players will be better throughout there career for the one year Foote donated to Mo-Town. So as upsetting as this is. (BACKUP!!) I’d like to thank Larry for bringing a small part of the steeler attitude to detroit and suggest that we now look foreward to 2010 and what Vanden Bosch can do for are youngsters.

How do you keep a running back out of your secondary? You put up a LEVY.
