Seeing as how I was laid up from work today I have been submerst in the latest NFL news on NFL mobile and NFL network. Today are very own defensive leader Larry Foote said and I quote. " THANK GOD I didn't sign a longterm deal with detroit" Now I will admit its not the greatest place to play right now but I was exstatic that we got Larry last year I always had a great respect for him. Today he lost some of that from me. He hasn't left the D with much dignity begging the cards to give him a job. I could have swore not just 2 months ago he was upset that detroit didn't see him as a priority but it sounded like he wanted to return. Larry helped are young guys out alot and was a true leader on this team. Am I the only one dissapointed in the things he has said sense he left? It certainly takes away from the way we treated him while he was here.

Actually after going back and watching....
……all 17 games that I dvrd this season he didnt play that well…..he continuallly misread coverage in the passing game and made continual wrong reads on run and pass plays.

i noticed this also—i don’t understand the love for this guy. he can go back to Pittberger and sit on the bench for a huge paycheck. sure he had some tackles (but so did guys like Lenon and Claiborne). IMO, i think Foote was weakest link in LBs rotation.

but fuck Larry Foote, he’s just salty that the Lions didn’t want to bring him back. Nobody wants his old over the hill ass anyways, he’s going back to the Steelers as a backup because the Cardinals realized making this guy their starter would be shameful. Delmas was a C last year...matter of fact he TOOK the C. from Foote.
If you did not notice, he was the one on the field calling the D plays.

is 29 considered OLD?? look, he’s a much better 3-4 LB, and he played like it last year. we should have known that going into the season. as far as not signing a long term deal, the feeling is mutual. why all the hard feelings? panties twisted?

He spent last off-season painting himself as this crusader of justice who was so valiantly returning to his hometown to help change the fortunes of a franchise that’s been the laughingstock of the league for the last decade.
Exactly one year later, he’s leaving because we didn’t offer him enough money, and he’s on national TV thanking god that he’s not playing for us anymore.

somehow hes this mythical being who was going to lead us to the super bowl? he was what he was, an average to below average 4-3 LB. and hes not exactly the one who parted ways, the lions made a VERY conscious decision not to resign him. if you thought anything more than that, or for some reason became emotionally attached to an overrated LB, thats on you. i personally dont give a shit what he thinks about the D.

…it sounds like he’s just another one of those bandwagon bitches that can’t hack it long enough to help take a team from zero to hero. We’re going to be a good team, and I don’t want any of these can’t hack it panty wastes that wear their momma’s bras around when it happens. I want guys who stuck with us through thick and thin. The only reason the Steelers signd him...
is because they need a big brother to follow Ben around and help him keep it in his pants. I hope he enjoys being the best paid babysitter in the world because unless some serious injuries happen he wont see playtime.
