Around SBN: Lakers Should Trade Andrew Bynum So He Doesn't Go To Waste

HUGE QUESTION? I need your input

This one has slipped my mind.  I cannot believe we have not talked aout this... {this option has slipped under the radar and could happen.  They (Cunningham) hinted at it during the season last year)}

Who would you rather have Suh or DORSEY from KC?

I do not have the info / statlines between the two players, but if the Lions can invest a say a 3rd or 4th to get Dorsey from KC.  Our 1st pick (or even a more likely trade down) could go to Berry making our DEFENSE INSTANTLY DANGEROUS...?  (the koolaide has me a little bit).  I have to settle down here.  Am I realistic here?  A scary thought.  I really think our Lions DEF could be that good.

I don’t follow college football so my stat knowledge is weak till draft time. Those that know these players… definitely post . i am very curious of your thoughts so the fact this could be a strategy by the Lions and Mayhew!!

GO LIONS in 2010! the transformation starts now.. they have much to do.

I definitely understand that

but could Dorsey (3-4 KC) be as good in the right defense (Lions 4-3)for a lesser pick AND we get BERRY? How far below is Dorsey to Suh / McCoy? ….. Being that McCoy is in the mix Dorsey would have top be compared to him also.

The point : for a lower pick we can get two pretty good players (one with a 2 years of NFL experience but in the wrong DEF… like the situation with Williams coming from Cleveland?)…. don’t get me wrong I’ll take Suh… at the rate we get Berry and Dorsey for minimum cost?? INSTANT impact on our DEF?

I like your brand of Kool-aid

If we could get Dorsey for even 2 lower round picks and somehow get Berry, NO BRAINER! Dorsey would fit into a 4-3 def way better than the 3-4, but I wasn’t aware that KC was even shopping him around.

How many lumps you want Doc?

Dorsey listed as a DE

Dorseys listed as a DE so they could have both if they drop out of the Hargrove deal ,which was 3rd comp. plus he had some issues. Give that 3/4 pick to KC for Dorsey and still take Suh. Pretty good D-LINE

My Mistake

3-4 thats why he’s listed DE, would be DT in 4-3. Yeah you could just trade down with KC get Dorsey not even have to give up a pick and get Berry as well.

Dorsey is the poor man's Suh

If I had to guess, I don’t think he’d have the same impact as Suh, but he’d certainly hold it down. But with Berry too, Hell, that’s a tough one. I’d probably stick with Suh.

Well im not high on Dorsey..

Could be the wrong DEF but who knows. I guess it is a risk but with getting Berry at the top your not FULLY loosing out on your plan so its not a bad idea at all. What about Okung and Dorsey ? I am still hoping to trade down so we can get more picks and would love to see next years #1 traded into this draft some how some way.

If we could get Dorsey for a 3rd I'd be interested

The FO would have to think about it, Somtimes a change in scenery helps a player too.

Funny

I was reading another post and I just thought about this…

I’d definitely be in if we could swing some sort of a trade down in the draft or get him relatively cheap… Unfortunately as far as the first round goes, KC doesn’t really have any need for any of the top prospects in the draft… Maybe something in the 2nd/3rd rounds, but I’d be all for it. I’m scared of drafting Suh, to be honest, and I would rather have Dorsey. That’s not saying alot though.

It looks like the berry folks are voting early

I don't want Dorsey.

Not 100% sure what I think is our best course of action. But I do know that Dorsey is no replacement for Suh.

pretty sure we talked this to death guys LOL

With Williams now though I don’t think we’d be trading for another starting DT maybe draft. I dunno I am growing tried of defensive lineman month on the POD.

How do you keep a running back out of your secondary? You put up a LEVY.

Yeah

We already discussed this at length. I’d rather Suh.
