I have to say
I would like to use a quote from Bill Madison.
"If there is any attempt to cheat, by either contestant, especially with my wife, who is a dirty, dirty tramp...I'm just gonna snap"
now, replace "there is any attempt to cheat, by either contestant, especially with my wife, who is a dirty, dirty tramp" with "the Detroit Lions don't draft Suh if he is availible, regardless of how good Okung and Berry look"
Then you will have my current mind set.
That is all.

Great Comparison....
….Sapp was an amzaing DT and Suh is his clone.

God I hope Suh
doesn’t try and do that horrible dance that Sapp use to do you know the belly bounce, or what ever he called it. It just looked like he was jumping on a pogo stick without the stick.
How many lumps you want Doc?
if he averages 8-10 sacks and 50 tackles a year like Sapp
he can dance however he wants!

Why the dig on Okung?
I haven’t heard that he’s lazy. If he is, let me know where I can find that info.

Okung looked like he wasn’t even giving all of his effort, yet he was still playing like a shut down LT. His athleticism is just too much for Des to handle even when he is taking it easy. He does need to get more aggressive however as he lacks a mean streak. I can’t wait to see him go up against a quality DE.

i dont have the link but he was confrunted about this and he said “i am better then him so i dont need to give 100%” hes a tool and a bum we dont need him
And if we pick him?

We'd have someone at LG
Either a draft pick or Backus/Cherilus/FA.

Thanks for the info!
I’m going to take a good look at it. I can’t stand someone that is a slacker/looks down on people.

If we don't get Suh say rams take him
We better get Berry or I will be upset. While I feel all these players we could get are good and its a hard pick to fail on. These are the best 2 players. I like wilson alot but he’s not a 2nd overall pick either were not Al davis so lets take one of the best players in the draft.
How do you keep a running back out of your secondary? You put up a LEVY.
I actually Like Earl Thomas....
….A little better but id be happy with Berry.

even though I trust our FO, and feel they have a plan and know what they are doing...
If Suh is there. And we pass on him. It will be a tough one to swallow for me.
if the shoe fits...get another one just like it - George Carlin
Last year
I wanted Curry but Stafford looks like the right pick…
I wanted Oher but Pettigrew looks like a very very good pick…
I wanted Maualuga but Delmas looks like the right pick….
But this year, I don’t see any way Suh can’t be the pick. LOL….
http://cmufootball.blogspot.com/
hahaha...whats scary, is I feel the same way...
So what will we be saying at this time next year?
if the shoe fits...get another one just like it - George Carlin
Close to my thoughts...
I wanted Curry, but I believe Stafford was the right choice at this point…
I wanted Oher, and I still think that would have been the best choice…
I wanted Maualuga, but Louis Delmas is the MAN and we ended up getting Levy (who looks every bit as good as Rey Rey)…
This year, I can only see a few ways that Suh will not be our pick:
1) If the Rams pick him #1 (however unlikely that it seems at this point)
2) If a team in the top 10 makes us a Herschel Walker type of deal that we can’t refuse
3) If we feel that Eric Berry is the true BPA, but we want to move down a couple of spots before drafting him over Suh (say Bradford goes #1 and Washington wants to move up to #2 to get Clausen…the Bucs take Suh and we get Eric Berry at pick 4…any lower than 4 and I think we risk losing out on Berry to the Chiefs, regardless of what people think in regard to their apparent need for a LT).
Oh you didn't know?? You're ass better CALLLLLLLL SOMEBODY!!!!!
I have to disagree on that one
If we could do a draft redo Oher should be our 2nd 1st round pick, We wouldn’t have a LT problem in this draft still…
Man...Oher would have been an outstanding pick at 20...
It is very difficult to say that Brandon Pettigrew was a better pick than Michael Oher would have been, especially considering long term value for this franchise at their respective positions (barring career ending injury in both cases).
Oh you didn't know?? You're ass better CALLLLLLLL SOMEBODY!!!!!
I don't think its even an agruement
considering the kind of year Oher had. We def should have picked Oher over Pettigrew. O-line would be shored up and had last year to gel.
I didnt say grew was a better pick...
reread it fellas lol

Also...
…no one was saying “Oh, I hope the Lions take Oher”, especially because the NFL Intelligista (not just the Lions) projected Oher as a RT (which, in fact, is where he plays for the Ravens if memory serves) and the Lions were convinced that Goz was going to turn the corner last year.

He has played LT after a injury or 2
Very well actually but yes he is technically the Right Tackle.

I think we all need to stop worrying about something outside our control
and accept that Mayhew and Schwartz know what they’re doing. Our pick WILL be the right pick, regardless of who it is. Mayhew has done enough in the last year and some change to earn my trust.
Maybe this is just me

Sorry, pressed wrong button...continued
I think there is this mindset that seems to dismiss too many players. Personally, I have no idea who we are going to pick so I’m trying to find everything I can on those who may be possible Lions so that I know what I like and dislike about them. No need to have your mind made up a prospect just yet.
