Lions Re-Sign Jason Hunter

Restricted free agent Jason Hunter has signed his one-year tender with the team. Hunter's tender gave the Lions the chance to match any offers that came his way from other teams and second-round compensation if an offer had gone unmatched. Another team coming in and making him an offer is no longer possible now that Hunter has signed his tender, which is good for one year and $1,759,000.

In addition to Hunter re-signing with the Lions, the team has also announced the signing of Landon Johnson and the re-signing of Marquand Manuel.

He played 14 games.

37 Solo tackes. 27 yards for loss. Pretty decent.

A very blue collar player, if nothing else, he’s a good back up…….might be better with somebody good on the inside……….I thought he placed decent last year.

I agree

he’s a high motor guy and may not be able to anchor a d-line, he is a solid role player. Put him in to light a fire under avril’s ass or get KVB a breather, I like it.

Definitely

I would say he’s better than most NFL back-ups but not quite NFL starting caliber. Perfect guy to have in a rotation, especially in a system like Schwartz has where he’s constantly rotating DL through every position on the line finding individual matchups to exploit with the other teams OL.

We didn't seem to be seriously considering DE's at #2, so this has no real bearing on that one way or the other.......LOL
