Food for thought....off topic, kinda.

Fellas,

One thing that really drives me crazy is the accidental race issue that happens when comparing players in sports.

Examples:

Black QBs get compared to McNabb or Cunningham or Vick...not Steve Young...but if is a white QB that can scramble, without a doubt, gets compared to Young, even if he is way faster.....You watch and see the comparisons that Jake Locker gets.

White WRs get compared to Welker, McCaffery or Largent. No matter how fast they are are or how crappy their hands are, they get labled as a "Slot WR"

White basketball players get compared to Bird, Stockton, or Kerr, never Glenn Rice, Isaiah Thomas, or John Starks. Like wise, you will never see a pass first court general getting compared to Steve Nash if he is black.

Nearly everyone that does it, does it on accident, it is just how we are wired. I just wanted to see what you guys thought about that.
