Adam Caplan, of Scout.com, reports via Twitter Detroit Lions restricted free-agent OG Manuel Ramirez has signed his tender, according to a source.

he immediately got smart to take the offer .... no one wants him out there with no offer being made to him... my guess he will rotate with a drafted OLman in 2010...

Instead of having to wade through everyone elses cuts, maybe they’ll wade through ours!
That already happened last year when Miami took Lydon Murtha from us, we sent him to practice squad and they took him off waivers.
A good sign that things are going in the right direction. That would have never happened under Millen.
I think that we found out that Ramirez is good as depth
but I do not believe that he is a starter. He was good at certain times during the season but he had a lot of lows also. We desperately need a LG or something that will cause a stop gap for i believe we will draft a guard in the draft at one point.
I know that this is off topic but if given the choice for our second round pick. If we had the choice of either Best, Wilson, or Pouncy. Who would you choose if they were all there. I know they wont be but i am just wondering what you would view would be the best of the three.

WILSON! no question, but I doubt he is there. Pouncey would be next. Stay the hell away from that prematurely broken down, so-called, R. Bush clone Best!

I would love for us to draft him. I wanna write Mayhew and give him a piece of my mind. LOL
Pouncy for Detroit Mayor! He can't do any worse than the last two!
I like Pouncy too, he could give us the physical inside presence that Raiola can never be. This guy can take on the big 3-4 nose tackles and hold his own. And he can start at guard for a year, allowing us to develop a later pick to replace him at guard when he replaces Raiola at center.
Oh yeah and there is a HUGE drop off in talent to the next best center.
Pouncy is late 1 early 2 talent, the next guy is like round 6-7 talent.

SO Okung might be needed more than we realize… IS he that good though? Most people say Suh is the beast… between Okung and McCoy if it came to that who would u take?
