I was reading Jared Gaither is on the block right now, and I think that Detroit should move in on him. He is 6,9 345 pounds, and in my opinion, is right up there with Jake Long, Ryan Clady, and Joe Thomas as one of the best Left Tackles in the league. Adding him to our o-line would be a phenomenal addition. I saw that Baltimore is asking for a high 2nd or low 1st, but since Detroit wants to move out of the second overall pick, how would this sound?????
Detroit Receives: Jared Gaither, OT
Baltimore's 2010 1st Round pick
Baltimore's 2010 5th Round pick
Baltimore Receives: Detroit's 2010 First Round pick
I think the Ravens would like this trade because it leaves them with a couple of options. They can take Eric Berry to replace Ed Reed (who may still retire), Ndamukong Suh who could play both DE and NT in the 3-4, or Gerald McCoy who could be a great 3-4 DE for them. The Lions would get a franchise Left Tackle who is only 24 years old, and they would still be able to get a late first round pick and draft a Running Back, Linebacker, Cornerback, Safety, whatever they want (or better yet need), they could get. Detroit would also get a late round pick that they could use to acquire some depth and special teams help.
TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
