Stay Up Late with POD: Free Agency Open Thread

I was going to wait until midnight to put this up, but since so much is going on I figured I might as well just post an open thread right now.  For those of you staying up late with Pride of Detroit for the start of free agency and the salary cap's goodbye party, you can chat about the latest rumors and rumblings right here.  I will keep everybody as updated as possible with posts on the latest as well as updates on Twitter, which you can see below.

I think even with the injury,

I would rather have Kampman than Vanden Bosch, mainly because of the age issue. But I know Schwartz probably likes Bosch from his days in Ten.

Any thoughts about him becoming a Lion? He’s old and old, but could be a good mentor

So if we traded for Cory Williams...

…does that mean we will trade down? I have a feeling Okung will be our first pick if we trade down. Rumor was we were all over him at combine. How do you guys feel about that?

Just livin' the dream...

by Brefstink on Mar 4, 2010 11:55 PM EST reply actions

I like Berry too.

He sure looked the part at combine.

But Suh is the right pick if there…

From the article

“Williams could also be part of a revamped defensive front-four for the Lions and would free them up to select Nebraska’s Ndamukong Suh over Oklahoma’s Gerald McCoy if both defensive tackles are available at No. 2. Suh is considered by many NFL evaluators to be more versatile along the defensive front. The Lions also have not ruled out trading down a few slots to collect an extra draft pick and still land another impact player, either on defense or the offensive line.”
