Nate Burleson and Corey Williams......trade bait?

Hey guys.....TCLion and I were talking this morning, and we agree that these two FA acquisitions could be the precursor to a bigger draft day trade, with the Lions moving out of the #2 slot. Hear me out, but keep in mind that there are some crazy rumors out there that have my mind working overtime trying to consider all possibilities. There are a few scenarios I came up with, and one CRAZY scenario that TCLion heard about, but only one scenario that I think is feasible....

That scenario idea is still a trade with Seattle (which I have been advocating for awhile).....for their 2 first round picks. Seattle needs a QB and a DT right? Ok.....here is Corey Williams and pick 2. We'll take your 6 and 14.....thank you drive through. The Rams take Bradford or Clausen, Seattle takes Bradford or Clausen, Tampa takes Suh or McCoy, the Redskins take Russell Okung (since both big name QBs are gone and they can get Colt McCoy is round 2) or Eric Berry, the Chiefs take Russell Okung or Eric Berry, and we are left with either Suh, McCoy, Haden, Morgan, Rolando McClain, or CJ Spiller at pick 6. I believe either Suh or McCoy will be there at pick 6, one or the other.

That said, I still do not like Gerald McCoy......and I am deathly afraid that we would pick him up at pick 6 if he were there and both Suh and Berry were gone. However, if we drafted McCoy at pick 6, I would be much more ok with it than at pick 2.....as we would also have pick 14 to get a solid cornerback (maybe Haden falls here) or some other outstanding player.

Now for the CRAZY......

TCLion has heard a rumor that we are looking to trade Calvin Johnson to San Francisco, for both of their 1st round picks (13 and 17), whereupon we would go after Brandon Marshall and still have 2 first round picks afterwards. I already know what the reaction to this is going to be.....but I am just throwing it out there. Personally, even though Brandon Marshall has had some "character issues", I think his attitude could easily be adjusted by PAYING the man. I would have my panties in a bunch too, if I was as awesome as he is on the field, and I was only getting paid 2.2 million a year. What would you guys think if this type of deal happened? What if we traded CJ and ended up with Brandon Marshall and the 2nd and 13th picks in the 1st round this year (Marshall has a 1st round tender)?
