Lions Announce Signings of Nate Burleson, Kyle Vanden Bosch
The Lions announced the trade for Corey Williams yesterday and introduced him to the media, but the team held off on announcing the signings of Nate Burleson and Kyle Vanden Bosch until today. The signings were finally announced earlier this afternoon, though, and both of the two new additions to the Lions were introduced to the media at a press conference. Also, Burleson announced that he is now a Lion on his Twitter page earlier today.
It is official so "Go Lions"...I am a Leo so you gotta admitt, it does make sense! I will miss the fans but I'm back to the black & blue!
I plan on posting profiles of all three of the new Lions in the coming days, so look out for those.

wow , hope all that money is worth it
nate didn’t do much in his seasons before last year , hope for 11 million up front he can be a beast with stafford throwing to him …………..still think we way overpayed , but if you want players to play for a 2-32 team …I guess overpay
marc hoople
With a not very good backup (Seneca Wallace)
for most of it and a bad O-line for all of it
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will probably get picked in the first round.
You didn't watch the Seahawks much last year.
Hasselbeck only missed 2.5 games.
Burleson’s success is almost solely contributed to teams focusing on covering Housh.
The Seattle Seahawks offense is driving......right into a brick wall at the end of the tunnel.
Honestly the Lions overpaid for Burleson
But I could see him being useful with a rising QB like Stafford.

New here, and it’s been a long time since i lived in Michigan and was able to watch the Lions, but I’ve spent the past 10 yrs as a Colts fan watching Marvin Harrison draw double-coverage and allow #2 and #3 receivers go crazy. The same thing happened this year with Reggie Wayne getting double coverage and allowing rookies like Austin Collie and Piere Garcon to look like Pro Bowlers.
All that to say, don’t be surprised if Burleson has a huge year. I hope so!
Also, i’ve watched Vanden Bosch give the Colts fits for the past 5 years. Good pick up! He’ll bring veteran leadership and a high work ethic to this team.
Good luck in the draft, and Go Lions!

You suck!
I watched the game. Know one cared about TJ. Period.
is there another way
to see the media coverage besides the Lions webpage?
GO LIONS in 2010! the transformation starts now.. they have much to do.
looks like
the lions are done making waves in FA and are gonna build thru the draft….i’m confident that they’ve done most, if not all, the homework they need to do on the prospects too. here’s to an awesome 2010 draft!
wow
schwartz just keeps gettin cooler and cooler to me:
The second-year head coach sent Vanden Bosch a text message just after midnight Friday while parked outside his gated community, toting a bottle of Opus One and three stuffed animals – Lions, of course – for his three young children.
that is just way beyond awesome….not only was he thinkin about kvb and his wife with the wine, he actually went all out and grabbed a few stuffed lions for kvb’s kids. class act, schwartz, class act.
He's a champ

Yep, Schwartz is a class act
Smart, has class, great in interviews and on the field. Sounds like a cool guy. Glad he’s our coach. We got the right guy.

I watched an interview with Burleson on NFL.com
He spoke fairly well and seemed pleased to be a Lion. That’s good enough for me.

Want you to know that almost everyone on the Colts blog
has been pulling for you guys. This is a great organization with a great history. With the changes this team is making, you’re bound to start winning.

2 things
hicks is a redskin and the reason devries was released was cuz he failed his physical per yahoo sports
Even more...
…..if Bryant Johnson has found some way to improve this offseason, we’ll have a substantial WR core.
GO LIONS! RESTORE THE ROAR!
I like Fargas
And in my opinion, he was the best running back that Oakland had…..better than Mike Bush and Darren McFadden. He was certainly the most consistent.
Oh you didn't know?? You're ass better CALLLLLLLL SOMEBODY!!!!!

Thank you for posting this.
That was a really excellent interview. Nate really impressed me with his attitude. His acceptance of his role says a great deal about his character. I think he is going to be a real asset.
