I’m fairly new here, although I’ve been reading up on the site for quite some time.  I’m a couple miles away from Detroit, so it’s hard to find real fans out here.  Anyways, it ‘s good to see so many, so supportive.

Now for the reason of the post:  Pat Williams and Kevin Williams are FINALLY on trial for an infraction that occurred some 2-2 ½ seasons ago…. Really?  By the time it gets settled their kids will probably be getting ready to retire (maybe not, but for many NFL Players, that’s a career).  As I understand it these clowns broke the rules to their contracts, got caught, and are using our beautiful judicial system to their benefit in not allowing the NFL to suspend them accordingly until it is played out in a court that can try to find some time for it.

There are plenty of pipe clowns in pro sports but when you threaten the integrity of the game in the manner that they did, they should just take the responsibility of their actions and accept the consequences.  Will Goodell show that he can be firm, fair, and impartial?  Probably not, but it’s worth a Fan Post.
