With the draft nearing, I thought it was important to make this post. Everything is slowly coming to a head, and within a couple weeks, we'll have a promising young crop of players added to our roster. If it's anything like it was last year, it will be exciting, disappointing, and eye-opening all at once, but one thing is for sure: we will be getting some players who will really change our team's face for the forseeable future.
I think I can truly speak for most everyone here when I say, I really don't care who we pick, whether it's Suh, Berry, Okung... After the draft we'll have another stud player to follow and obsess over, and I have enough faith in our front office that that player will impact not just their roster position, but also the rest of this team and the 'culture' of our team. I'm so tired of hearing about the Lions and how they're rollovers. I think there is a stellar crop of competitors that our leadership is considering, and I can't wait to see them holding up the Honolulu Blue and Silver. We may all argue over the best course of action, but in the end, what matters is we'll ALL be seeing the Lions and their improvement this year.
Looking forward to the draft, OTAs, and the season. For a 2nd year, POD has really slagged my thirst for NFL (and Lions) news, and for that, I wanna say thanks. I wouldn't rather argue with another group of opinionated football fans anywhere else. Here's to the draft, and....
