With the 43rd pick of the 2010 Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select Cincinnati wide receiver Mardy Gilyard
Here is CapitolLions' reasoning for the pick:
The Broncos shipped Brandon Marshall off to sunny Miami and now need a big play threat across from possession receiver Eddie Royal. Gilyard brings deep ball ability, a good work ethic and in my opinion the best hands in the draft to Denver's high flying offense. He will make an immediate impact in the passing game and could replace Royal, who is now the clear #1, in the return game. Adding him to this already young offense gives the Broncos a foundation for the future while still allowing them to win now.
