Lions Release Kalvin Pearson
Just a day after releasing Daniel Loper, the Lions have cut ties with another player -- safety Kalvin Pearson.
Pearson joined the Lions in 2008 after the Buccaneers declined to match the offer Detroit gave him. Although Pearson was a restricted free agent, Detroit didn't have to give up anything to the Bucs to sign him since his tender didn't include any compensation.
Pearson's base salary for 2010 would have been $640,000.

Zane Beadles from Utah was in for a workout
I just read it, I can’t remember if you included him on your update

Are you refering to North(CUT) Wayno?????
He’s on my wish list of releases from last years roster, still happy to see DeVries is back, he is my second favorite Lion right now, just barely behind Jason Hanson.I can’t help it guys i love Blue-collar type players that come in and do there jobs without needing a big pat on the back all the time.
How many lumps you want Doc?
NorthCUT should be on his way soon and a few more too
We have to trim the budget so we can trade for Chris Johnson and Ray Lewis
LOL

Northcutt is ok!
first off Northcutt has a decent return game, he also seems to make good length when he does get a chance to play! I know that Bryant Johnson & Northcutt arent as good as they use to be but they make good second strings, and they are way better then the bums that Marnelli had and are way better then our 1st round WRs (exception to Roy Williams & Calvin Johnson) Id rather have Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt on my team then Mike Williams & Charles Rodgers! its really really wrong that Mike Williams was allowed to use #88, Which was HOF Charlie Sanders number, I have a Mike Williams Jersey from back when he was a first round pick in like 2005 or 2006 or whenever it was! we didnt give much up for B Johnson & D Northcutt, it kills use the most how many busts we got in the past compared to everyother team! another thing is we probably wont end up with Lito Sheppard or Adam Jones, it will be some like 7th round bust CB from the draft and Chris Houston who is ok! If we dont get a veteran to start with Houston we will at best finish with 2 wins again! we upped the DLine, and downsized the Secondary majorly, lost Anthony Henry, lost William James and Lost Phillip Buchannon! Lost Larry Foote, Lost Grady Jackson maybe if we kept them and with the new upgrades i could see a respectable season! whats the point of getting rid of guys, we had first dibs on Lito Sheppard , now the bears are going to use him to run the ball down our throats! if we dont get a respectable secondary 2wins is the best we will do
Northcut served a pupose last year but he needs to be replaced with youth
He dropped to many passes. But was an asset on the special teams but we really need to get younger in his position.

Northcut became expendable the night we signed Nate Burrelson.
The only thing he did for us last year was give us a OK guy at punt returns and with the addition of Nate we no longer need a WR that can’t catch. Bye Bye. And I also seeing us use Williams (WR) as a return guy more this year, plus who ever we draft in the late rounds.

Wait for it...........
Somebody’s going to say how this move somehow makes it more likely that we’ll draft Suh instead of Berry, lol.

Louis Delmas is gonna lay the MAC down on your candyass.
God Help Me I love this stuff !..(HBK describing DX)
Good move
I haven’t liked or trusted this guy since it came out a few years back about him choking his pregnant gf. Didn’t help my opinion of him that he sucked and was only semi-useful on special teams. Good riddance I say!
