Getting to know our pre draft corner backs
I thought it might be a good idea to provide some links or information regarding our current corner backs. It seems to me that a lot of guys are not all that familiar with Chris Houston, Jonathan Wade, DeAngelo Smith or Jack Williams. So I thought this might be a good place for us to gather information and ejamucate ourselves. This is what I found so far.
Eric King: Wiki Musiccitymiracles
I really could not find much info on Eric. From what I did read, little tid bits here and there, the consensus is that he is one of the better depth players in the league and that his main hurdle has been overcoming injuries. A solid Nickle back that has a hisory with coach Schwartz.
DeAngelo Smith: Wiki NFL Sportingnews Cowboysblog
Jonathan Wade: Wiki Stltoday Yahoorivals
Very little info on Jonathan Wade also, he did run 4.47 at the combine, and was drafted in the 3rd round when Linehan was thier coach in St. Louis.
Dante Wesley: Wiki ESPN
A career special teamer this guy should not be viewed as a true part of the secondary.
Jack Williams: Wiki ESPN Stampedeblue NFL Milehighreport

Looking at this list is depressing me
and reminding me of how pathetic our CB situation is. I would say the draft could be the solution, but it likely won’t provide immediate relief when you consider that rookie CB’s tend to not contribute much their first season. We just have to pray that adding Suh gives us a sufficient enough pass-rush to hide the secondary’s shortcomings. If not, we will probably be at the bottom of the league in pass defense yet again.
good post
We all have been throwing these names around, but it’s good to start to put a name with a facts….thanks
