ugh, tough schedule
Probably 1-5 at the bye…eek.
i don't know
we could be 3-3 by the bye week. the gaints, vikings, and the packers are the only ones that worry me.

glad we travel to chi-town and greenbay while the weather is still moderate...
I get my ass kicked for money, all you gotta do is talk motherfucker.... Rampage Pride GP03
That's a pretty tough schedule for a last place team
Guess the days where you could go from 4-12 against a first place schedule to 11-5 against a last place schedule, to back to 6-10 against the big boys are gone.
I kinda miss the Wayne Fontes era…
Official BYB Juju Consultant...now accepting rally creature applications!
half the games
are against last years playoff teams again. and all early games wtf.
1 slice, 1 beer, 5 more reps.
Dont they set your opponents way in advance now?
They only flex a couple games each year which is probably why we play STL and TB
They're all early games?
WTF MAN?
I was hoping maybe, just maybe they’d have enough sympathy to give us the NYJ game a prime time spot, considering it’s a game a lot of people probably actually want to see.
unreal
The shitty as redskins get 3 Sunday night games and a Monday night game…and we can’t even get one sunday night game? wow
http://cmufootball.blogspot.com/
I think
6-10 with a sweep of Chicago, wins vs STL, Wash, TB, and Buffalo
I would honestly be pretty happy with that, especially if they play hard in the loses.
http://cmufootball.blogspot.com/
yup...hope for two wins at the bye
and add the back half where we could come out w/ .500 and i think we are in good shape to not pick in the top ten next year. then what will mayhew do? does this org know how to draft out of the top ten? in all seriousness & no offense intended…
agreed.
I’d be happy if we didn’t get blown out, and kept playing hard. That’s all that matters this season.

spilt with chicago
i was thinking 4…..chi @ home, STL, TB & BUFF………Wash may be a stretch

I think we'll beat some good teams
We came real close against AZ and Minn last year. Now that we’re an even better team, we should be able to win a couple of those games that the Lions of the last few years would have lost.
by WestsideLionsFan on Apr 20, 2010 10:04 PM EDT up reply actions
I think
split with Chi, win vs. STL, WASH, TB, Buffalo. Real chance against Miami, Jets, and Giants. Miami, Jets, Giants all heavy run teams. If we take Suh, with our other additions, we could stop these teams from scoring in bunches. Never know!
i must say, i like the second half
esp with two home games out of the gate after the bye & 6/10 at home after the bye. first six will test the young team in a big way…second half we see the character test and how much schwartz & co can coach ’em up.
We start on the road... again...
Well, I wanted to see the Bears for the first game, but I would have liked to play them at home. I think they will be ripe for an opening game plucking.
To be honest, I think this is a pretty tough schedule. I mean, any schedule for Detroit is tough… but this one doesn’t seem to favor us in any way. Start on the road, first three of four are on the road, all three divisional opponents on the road before the bye, New England on Thanksgiving, ending the season against Minnesota… sheesh. This is gonna be a tough year.
If we win more than 6 games, we will have REALLY improved as a team. If that happens, I will erect a statue of Mayhew in my front yard and bow to it each day as I leave for work (and yes… I know that I just used the word “erect” and have now opened myself up for every penis joke known to man).
Heh heh heh
You said ‘opened’.

well...
1-5 at the bye
5-11 overall
I would be alright with that as long as we are competitive against the division.
I have NO CLUE what to make of this....
I know the Lions are better on paper this year already….the draft will help that even more with Suh or McCoy or whoever they take. It is a TOUGH schedule this season. I’m not even going to start predicting because I don’t know how the other teams are going to be….how we are going to be….nothing. It’s truly going to be an interesting season.
GO LIONS! RESTORE THE ROAR!
right on
need a couple of days to think about this one. i hope we can get some points special teams and defence, may help get a few wins.
1 slice, 1 beer, 5 more reps.
tough schedule
I have no doubt we’ll be improved this year…..but man, that’s a pretty tough schedule. We’ll have to man up early in the year. I think I’m going to try and make the Pats game on Thanksgiving
Too early to tell really.

Will they be resting starters for this game? Optimist 15-1 Pessimist 5-11
Well if you drink Suh Berry Kool Aid were headed for 15-1 LoL we all know that is not happening. But even looking at it realistically we can expect 5-11 at minimum. I agree 8-8 is likely and 10-6 is still sipping on the Kool Aid. I know I have us beating Minnesota at the end and a lot of people think that will not happen but hey its at home and half their starters will rest.
You are right that it is too early to tell
Might as well be optimistic, because everybody knows the pessimistic result is 0-16, and we’ve already been there.

i like this post but i have one question
if you were going to pick the ONE game the lions had no chance of winning… would it really be @DAL? That’s THE toughest game?
by redwingxviii on Apr 21, 2010 10:39 AM EDT up reply actions
I think the toughest one is @ GB
GB is everything Dallas is and maybe more, and we haven’t won @ GB (Not even once!) since before Brett Favre started playing there in the early 90s.
by WestsideLionsFan on Apr 21, 2010 10:53 AM EDT up reply actions
I'm predicting 7 wins
Chicago (1), Minnesota (1), St. Louis, Dallas, Buffalo, Tampa Bay, and Miami.
I think the Lions team might function a little bit like the Texans this year with a pass-happy offense and a good pass rush, but questionable secondary. I think they can beat some seasoned teams like Dallas and Miami, who might have their guard down.
by WestsideLionsFan on Apr 20, 2010 9:40 PM EDT reply actions
When I saw you predicted 7....
…I thought you were crazy. Then, I looked at the games….and I thought….it’s possible. It’s possible. Dallas could be weakER this year. Miami has a good D, but our offense is better this year than before.
GO LIONS! RESTORE THE ROAR!
It LOOKS bad, but I'm not gonna go with disaster yet.
Both Chicago games are winnable. Philadelphia still doesn’t have a #1 QB or a proven RB. Who knows who’s gonna be calling signals in Minnesota. St. Louis is gonna be bad. We get Washington after the bye week. The Bills have zero offense. I could go on, but on paper, 6-10 at the least is not unreasonable.

Looks Bad
Tough schedule at start. Anyway cold place in autumn, warm ones in winter. It could be helpful
Tough, tough schedule
I’m thinking around 5 – 11 would be a solid season and that’s waht I’m hoping for. 2 – 14 could be very possible again though if things don’t go our way.

I really...
would like to see us beat CHI first game out. Lions need some division wins to even be close to showing the team is turning around. Lions haven’t won against a division rival since October 28th, 2007 against the Bears. That must change!
