Unexpected Suh benefits PLUS Millen looking stupid
So this may be a logical leap, but did you guys notice that this past year we had horrible interior line play (our guards were a revolving door), which happened to also coincide with our weakest ever defensive line? Sure, the two could have happened the same year by coincidence, but don't forget, 5 days a week, our d line and our o line go at it. As much as Suh will terrorize centers and guards around the league this year, he'll terrorize Sims and Raiola and crew five times as often. In other words, for all of you who were lobbying to pick an OL this year, DRAFTING SUH MAKES OUR O-LINE BETTER!! The better the defenders, the more intense and the more worth while the practices are. After a week of facing the suhnami (not to mention KVB and corey williams), our line will be far far more equipped to deal with the competition every Sunday. So that's an added perk to picking Suh (not like we needed any).
Also, for those of you who like seeing Matt Millen looking like an idiot (and that's all of us, right?) here's a clip from recent draft coverage. I don't know if this link was already posted, so I apologize if this is a repeat, but I've been around a lot and haven't seen it. Apparently Millen insulted Polish people everywhere on the air, and here's his apology. I, personally, just love watching him squirm.

He was on Sirius NFL
Last week before the draft and they ended up cutting him off as he started to ramble on about nothing…“Well, thanks Matt, we’ve gotta go… appreciate the few minutes”…. as the music cuts him off…LMAO… made my day.
I don't know, I think the bad O-Line play
was because Peterman was injured, Gosder was underperforming, and Loper and Ramirez aren’t good enough to be starting NFL guards.
If a rookie DT, in practice, can get more out of our guards than our coaching staff could, then that says something bad about our coaching staff.
Hey that's a timeout, I can play right? yeah, get me--get the F-- Help me up...I can throw the ball if you need me to throw the ball...
I think its both really. If you practice hard you play hard, I believe in that. SO I think your onto something.
However I don’t think it much matters who you practice against. All of these guys in the NFL if they take plays off will get embarrassed. If anything more guys on the team like our first three picks, intense try hard guys, will help change that losing culture. If you need an example of two high paid highly talented bad examples just look at Shawn Rogers and Roy WIlliams. Both of those guys had the talent to be all pros every year. But Big Baby was too lazy to work at strength and conditioning to stay on the field more than 20 snaps a game and Roy was too lazy to work on getting off a press and running better routes and actually catching the ball every time. Sad, both of those guys were very talented and they learned how to ruin themselves under failed “players coaches”. Don’t get me wrong I love Steve Mariuchi, and I know Martz is a Tyrant, and I think Marinelli was working his ass off trying to keep the effort up but for some reason they just fell short. I seen clips of Mariuchi getting all over Charles Rogers ass, and I know Martz made those guys run their ass off on routes in practice, and I think the guys liked Rod and played with all their heart for him but it just was not enough. I guess I am saying that players like S. Rogers and R. Williams just don’t have enough heart and the guys that they took like Charles Rogers should have never been picked, nor Mike WIlliams, etc etc. The thing is, Millen was not the only one to blame there. I doubt he called all the shots on his own. Wow I went way off track here… anyways guys like that on your team are a cancer is my point. So though I agree that those guys practicing hard will help the team a ton, I don’t think it necessarily is because they have so much talent.
As all over as that post was im with ya 100%
The thing that I do see helping in the offseason is… Suh has said the all the right things to sell tickets. (If your not excited for Lions football this year there is something seriously wrong with you.) Suh is gonna get in that weight room and hopefully he works like he talks, which i think he does because just look at the man. Suh and KVB, two Cornhuskers, just pumpin that iron getting everybody fired up. I think thats a good pandemic you want spreading through the lockerroom. Just makes everyone rise to the occasion, I dont even think Pacman would want to be the one guy who “Is too cool for hardwork”.
the offenseive
and effensive line won’t go at it every week. infact they will barely touch eachother after the season starts. But im sure they’ll bennifit from working in training camp and OTAs

Matt Millen is a disgrace
He should just leave us alone.

I was kind of ticked off....
I want to know, WHERE WAS OUR APOLOGY FOR 10 WASTED YEARS OF FOOTBALL???? I have to say, Millen has reached a level of pure shamelessness that I can’t even contemplate. How can he dare speak of football like he knows anything from an organizational standpoint when he left this team as the laughingstock of the whole league. Perfect example of a Penn State product, all talk and no results.
Thank you.
