BETTER LIONS

notice our roster drops are getting picked up by other teams… clearly our roster is getting better with more on the way for 2011….. guys we are looking at the beginning of a Lions roar we have never heard since Millen has come in… get ready… The Lions are better with more to come…. the day that our seventh round ricks are not a lock on the team proves that

GO LIONS!

imagine guys… we fix the defensive backfield (the front is solid) safety/CB solidification and maybe OFF line strengthening by 2011… guys the Lions could be playoff bound by 2011

GO LIONS in 2010! the transformation starts now.. they have much to do.

Better than a C

The Lions defensive line will be a solid B this year provided they are not injured.

I like Landon's attitude

He’s got the strength, we know that. It’s gonna be hard to beat out Suh, but if Landon truly puts the work in then maybe we’ll see some more positive play from him this year.

I heard about that

Inglis is a good player when he wants to be. He’s a big guy (for a rugby league outside back) and has pretty good speed. There’s no doubting that he has the physical capabilities to make it in the NFL. He’s easily got the stamina and he’s got the tackling ability, and running capability. It’s just the mental side, having to learn an NFL system and develop the instincts needed to play at the highest level. I’m unsure if he can do that.

Would be awesome to see though. I think he could teach a few guys a thing or two…

by derbyz81 on May 15, 2010 7:51 PM EDT reply actions

I believe you can watch them on NFL.com,

Through nfl replay. Don’t know if you can get it outside the US though,

I thought Canada was considered the US

Just with better upgrades like being able to grow your own Smoke, Health care for all, Casino’s that are governed and pay out 50% daily, instead of taking a tiny slap on the hand and a small fine. Titty bars that you can actually get drunk in.This is just a few.

you list some

great things about canada… .one bad thing is the price of beer. i bought two cases today and it cost me over $70. i walked out of the beer store bowlegged.

I went to titty bar in Canada

The dancers got pissed when I kept putting dollars in their gstrings. I had a ton of trouble getting those loonies to stay.

I first saw "Quarters" in Canada...

Let’s just say you put a stack of Quarters on the stage ($20 worth or more), and She keeps whatever she can pick up….

LoL Sorry but I just LoL'ed so much. That is so corney, I hope he goes and loses for the rest of his career wherever he plays.

His crybaby BS where he just didn’t play at all put him in the same category with Coby Bryant for me, lost all my respect for that.

wow thats

one in a row. i AGREE WITH THE SMURF. screw Lebron. he has yet to be a winner. even if Nike payed him 100 mill outta his 1 and done.

Screw the Akron (fisher price) hammer

Over hyped, because the NBA does not have any real stars, Don’t anyone of you mention Kobie, cause he gets more calls and is not called for half of the shit most players get called for.I never thought I’d say this but I wish MJ was still playing.

by davis0169 on May 16, 2010 4:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Oh I like Steve Nash, but I have not followed the NBA too closely for the past couple years.

Kinda lost my heart when Joe D started trading away all the Bad Boys 2.0. Right after Ben Wallace was traded I said F this I’m out. I know he is back and all but its just not the same in the D anymore. Maybe in another year or two they will get my interest back but I am actually pretty interested in the Tigers this year, Bosche has me intrigued. That means I might watch 5 games in the regular season LoL!

Other than a tweet about a rumor

Is there any other info why Masden wanted out as soon as he got in?

by ATL Lion on May 16, 2010 8:26 AM EDT reply actions

john madsen release

my insider told me what happened. basically he went to martin mayhew and sang this song to the front office.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcNyk54b3ZU

but nobody knows why john did this, in fact john madsen doesn’t even know why he did it.

by hasselhoff on May 16, 2010 11:21 AM EDT reply actions

he knows he won't start

Grew and Schef are locks as starters upon being healed I give him credit.. smart move on his part.. when he see the Lions better he’ll wish he made the team…" not because they are the Lions" ..just common sense.. he has a better chance with another team he did not want to be a training camp cut

GO LIONS in 2010! the transformation starts now.. they have much to do.

Castoffs

It is nice to see our released players getting picked up, does indeed show our quality. I too love the changes on the D Line. My jury is out on just how much of an improvement we made at corner. We definitely lost at the LB pos with Sims and Foote gone and the expectation that our backups will become starters and then we will have zero depth. I don’t beleive you Caleb lovers, the military is not a place to hone your game. I can’t believe we are relying on Levy to be the MLB after just a few games although he does seem to be a stud. Yes we have Peterson on the outside but at 35 just how many plays can he play. I know we have this other guy too but why was he available for free if he was so good. So if our Corner pos is better than advertised and if one of these many safeties can play with Delmas and if our LB core is better than last year then we can see the benefits of this great DL.

by toledogolf on May 16, 2010 9:44 PM EDT reply actions

I dunno

I agree that we have to wait and see on the secondary. It will definately be a more physical and faster secondary though. On losing out at LB I don’t agree. loot was decent but Levy out played him, as long as he can maintain that level of play we will not miss Fairy Loote. I say his name like that because I feel like he sold us out. As for Sims he was horrible last year. Some people may not like the stats at Pro Football Focus but I do, and even if they rated him too low its hard to put in a margin of error that makes him good enough to keep around. I quite literally think we cannot possibly do any worse than Ernie at ROLB (WOLB) this year so at the worst we are in the same boat. On the other hand if there is any improvement at all it will be noticed and overall the LB should be a pretty solid upgrade IMO.

by Evilsmurf on May 16, 2010 11:02 PM EDT up reply actions

B??

for people saying the dline is a B your crazy and a C is pushing it. I would say more like a D+ adding Suh is nice but a rookie DT ussually doesnt live up to the hype he will be a good player but not above average in the league. Vanden Bosch is old his better years are in the past I could see Avril and Hunter getting the starting nod both of which were on the team last year. And for the guy above Ernie Sims was not that bad players have some down years you’ll learn that if you watch a few seasons of football. His presence will be missed this season who do you think is going to play better Dizon?

wow

the DEF line from last year to this year is no comparision… all I can say is… i hope you eat your words…

GO LIONS prove em all wrong… ranked 24th in SI today put it on your locker and shock the NFC!!!!

the keys to this year is the all the changes jelling together… DEF LINE, OFF LINE and Stafford… everything else will fall into place

GO LIONS in 2010! the transformation starts now.. they have much to do.

by DINORDO on May 17, 2010 5:20 PM EDT up reply actions

dont get me wrong i love tthe lions but in reality we have to give young players time to develop dont get all mad when they dont live up to ur high expectations u have to be realistic adding suh is not going to change everything if you forgot a few years ago we did have shaun rogers and still didnt make playoffs one player cant make a team. they have improved from last year but asking for more than 7 wins is being kinda hard on them it takes time to build a team u cant do it in one off season

"John Madsen said he requested the Lions to release him."

Why dont I beleive this? Who signs a contract and then wants out the next day?
