Jon Jansen writing for the Detroit Free Press.
Saw this today and thought it was pretty cool. Jon Jansen is gonna be doing a weekly article in the Free Press on Sundays throughout the season. I think it will be cool to read his weekly perspective on the team, especially if we start winning some games. Plus if his first article is any indication of his ability to write, I can't wait for more of his stuff. I gotta admit, it brought a little tear to my eye. (I just got done watching Det V. Cle replay on NFL network).
I'll Link both articles about it from the Freep
On a side note, I hope everyone is having a Great, Safe, Memorial Day Weekend. Can't wait for this Season to start. Go Lions!!!!

Jansen seems like a bright, nice guy
But I really hope he has lots of time to write his articles on Sundays.
wow
That was a really well written article, It is nice to have a hometown guy back home where he belongs.
Most likely ghost written or heavily edited...
that is unless JAnsen actually has some background in journalism. But most things of this caliber are usually ghost written by someone at the paper…like JAnsen will send in a rough copy and they’ll edit to format, which probably changes quite a bit of it. But still cool and I plan on asking him some q’s along the way.

Jansen is pretty bright
I remember his analysis of the draft a couple years ago. He used to be a commentator for ESPN during the live draft and was very well spoken. I stopped watching ESPN’s draft coverage, prefer Mayock and the NFL network. So i’m not sure if he still takes part. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was able to write this himself.

Let's all hope after he retires
he will become a writer for the Lions, this guy is living the dream grad from U of M, drafted in the 1st round, later sign w your hometown team and more than likely retire w them, and now maybe a shot at writing for them after your football days.
